Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location Hotel is perfectly situated for access to Rosemont's entertainment district restaurants, the outlet mall and an easy shuttle to casino. Had a nice dinner at Chicago Fire Grill in hotel with a large group when the local ones were a ridiculous wait for a table. Love the filtered water available in the vending rooms on the floor. It would have been helpful to have carts available to lug bags from front door or parking garage to room, especially after shopping. January 17, 2014

The staff was very helpful and did a great job of coping with a no water situation due to a broken pipe in the city's system. Two enjoyable late lunches in the bar with a great bartender. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by staff was unfriendly, the wait time was terrible for food, and bedding for pull out inadequet The staff was unfriendly. The flight information was incorrect. It showed on time but was delayed by more than two hours. They were rude when I questioned fees on the bill. The dinner order was an hour and a half to receive. I did not consider this a good value. You have to pay for internet, parking, and there is nothing complimentary (ie. breakfast). Overall experience was terrible. January 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent for conventions and planespotting I was at this hotel for a convention in the convention center across the street. The friendly front desk staff was quick to process my check in, and was able to fulfill my request for a higher level room facing the airport. As an aviation enthusiast, I was excited about the great view of planes on approach to O'Hare. The free drinks and breakfast for being an IHG elite member were also appreciated. The room was nicely decorated and quiet. The bathroom amenities were of good quality and had a relaxing scent. The parking charge is a bit high, but the free shuttle from the airport means you can avoid renting a car if you're flying in and don't plan on driving around. I'll definitely consider staying here again the next time I'm in the O'Hare area. January 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not So Happy New Year! The conditons starting New Year started cold and snowy. We came to Crowne Plaza for a New Year celebration. After New Year we went back to the room with young adults laying on the floor outside the elevator probably drunk. We (husband and myself) retired being awaken to loud fire alarm at around 4 AM with voice instructions to exit the building. Wife and I took the exit from the 8th floor walking down the stairs after hurrying to dress for the cold. We exited the lobby level and seen tracks going back into the hotel navigating police and fire vehicles. Once inside the lobby we waited without notifications until a fireman indicated it was all clear to return to the room. Some critical points: 1. No staff to direct customers to safe locations 2. No announcements from Crowne Plaza during or after this fire exercise. 3. No Crowne Plaza person checked any of the rooms to insure everyone was evacuated. 4. I seen no staff at any time address the number of guess waiting in the lobby. 5. In a fire drill customers were going back into the building the last place to be in case of an emergency. 6. The Hotel Manager during checkout wasn't aware of the incident. She was cordial but never took my name or written down my comments which lead me to believe my comment did not count. 7. There were older people who needed assistance and there was no one to help. Again no staff. 8. Many people were unaware of the events. Maybe the fire alarm don't go off on every floor..however in this world of terrism and catastrophes people have to be more prepared today. In summary, I'm very disappointed in the preparedness of Crowne Plaza and this companies ability to protect their patrons. Other comments: 1. Drinks at the bar were very expensive compared to other places. 2. Copy of the bill had to be requested not automatically provided. 3. For a large hotel, the lobby area was not spacious nor comfortable with not enough sitting areas. 4. On positive had a good view, bed was comfortable, staff was pleasant, and ample parking. 5.Unfortunately, on the day of departure, it was very difficult leaving the parking lot for 2 reasons: no parking attendant and others had difficulty with the parking stub and the lot was not cleared of snow. And I understand most Chicago DOWNTOWN hotels charge for parking, but this hotel is out near O'Hare airport. I'm not aware of any other hotels that charge for parking. December 30, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great rooms and front desk staff! Not so good in the hotel restaurant! The rooms were nice and spacious! Great views as well! Didn't hear the planes and they fly right above you. At check in the staff was excellent! Had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Not a good experience. We were sat and given drinks, but then nothing after that. We had vouchers for the buffet, but no one told us anything. We sat there for like 5 min wondering if we can just go help ourselves and we didn't know where it was. Noone checked on us till the end of our meal. The eggs were very runny. The butter was so hard it wouldn't spread on the toast. Hotel bar was nice. A little expensive for a cheap glass of wine, but overall nice atmosphere. December 18, 2013

We found it to be very convenient to many restaurants (although we were there during a car show, so next time, we will call ahead for reservations as the wait times were 1.5-3 hours long!). Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Believe It This was a weekend where actions by the staff, just made you shake your head in disbelieve. It started when we first got to the room and discovered there was a drinking glass on the table that had marks and liquid still in it. The maid was across the hall, so I asked her for a clean glass, she didn't understand me so I directed her back to our room and showed her the glass. She picked it up, rinsed under water in the bathroom sink and proceeded to dry the glass with a rag I had just seen her cleaning the bathroom with across the hall. She put the cardboard cover back on the glass and set it on the counter with the other glasses and left. My wife and I were stunned and just stood and looked at each other. Next morning, breakfast buffet in dining room. A member of the kitchen staff on the way to buffet table with large kettle of French toast stumbles and about a dozen pieces of French toast land on the dining room carpet. To the amazement of all present he bends down picks them up tosses them back in the kettle and goes on to the buffet table where he dumps the kettle into the server on the table. Almost in unison, half the dining room gets up and starts to tell anybody we can find from the hotel what has just happened. There is one more story involving a bathroom which my wife has said to leave out, needless to say it was enough to get us to check out at 9:00 PM a day before we were scheduled to leave. As they say, truth is stranger than fiction and you just can't make this stuff up. I spent over 20 years traveling for work on a regular basis and have to admit these were firsts for me. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay! We stayed over night in this hotel because we had an early flight out the next morning from O'hare. We took advantage of their park and fly program. We had free parking for 7 days while we were on our vacation. We only had to pay our room fee for the night. The hotel and room were immaculate. There was an "Anime" convention, so the lobby of the hotel was extremely busy, but they put us on the "Quiet" floor, and we were able to sleep very peacefully. We will definately stay here again.
