Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected While working on a consulting project in the area I've stayed in several different Shreveport hotels. This place was extremely quite even though it's close to the airport and the interstate. The hotel and everything in the room was spotlessly clean and in perfect repair. The room was well supplied and nicely appointed. Every single staff member, without exception, that I encountered in my 4 day stay was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Even my fellow guests were unexpectedly friendly. After trying the different hotels in the area, I was pleasantly surprised in finding this such a pleasant home away from home., May 17, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfort & Convenience All we needed was a clean room to sleep in the night before our early flight out. The room was spacious and well appointed with a very nice furnishings. And the property is located right across the street from the airport. And even though it was right at the airport, there was no noticeable noise from airplanes coming and going. The only problem was that my reservation was cancelled after 6 pm although I had provided a credit card guarantee. We arrived around 8 pm at which time the front desk employee was able to provide a room, but had to repeat all the registration information. March 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Embarrassed grandma I was embarrassed to bring my kids and grandkids into this hotel. They didn't have our reservations correct upon check in. First, we were directed to a room that was occupied. Then, the next room was dirty and our other room had food smeared on the back of the door. The couch collapsed on my grandson as we made out the hide-a-bed. The mattress was grossly stained and my grandkids slept on the floor. I was told when I complained in the morning that "it didn't cost you anything, you used your reward points." It certainly was not up to IHG standards that we have come to trust. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. December 8, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Below Expectations I have stayed in several Candlewoods and this was below the standards that I had previously seen. First of all, the staff was very nice and I have no problem there. The rooms were not very clean. Nothing had been wiped down and there were handprints and spills all over the elevator. The rooms were not any better. The rooms smelled musky and I had to wipe down several items before use. My work partner went to his room and found the carpet wet from cleaning and all of the furniture stacked. The room smelled terrible for the 3 days he was there. I will never stay in this hotel on future trips to Shreveport under no circumstances. No recognition of priority club. Had smoke alarm going off when I got to my room the second day and I asked them downstairs about a battery. They gave away the last one and I had to stand on a chair and unhook it to stop. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable but needs better cleaning habits The room was pretty clean but the container of bleach used to clean the room was left in the middle of the floor and their was blood on the shower wall in the bathroom. The toilet could have been cleaner. Overall it was a comfortable room. November 22, 2012
