Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Place to Stay I was in South Bend to train a couple of new hires. The Hotel was gracious enough to let me use the business center & lobby to do my training. The whole staff bent over backwards to make my stay a pleasant one. I will definitely stay there again next time I'm in South Bend. They even had a Thank You note for me when I checked in for being a Platinum Member ! August 17, 2014

The couch had some stains on it, though and the pool was closed for renovations and I was not notified prior to booking or check-in. Otherwise, there were no major problems. The staff was friendly. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Will not return The smell in the hallways and the room was terrible. The bedspread in the room was so lumpy it looked like it was stuffed with hay. Found a dirty sock on the floor which leads me to believe the room was not cleaned as it was out in the open and I spotted it right away. Our room was on the third floor and the elevator was broken. Went to get ice and the ice machine was broken. Wnen unloading the car was asked for spare change by someone hanging around the parking lot. Overall a very poor experience and was happy it was only a one night stay July 19, 2014
