Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Business became pleasure. When I arrived at The Candlewood Suites in The woodlands after a long day of travel ,i was to say the least, not in the best of moods. That quickly changed the moment i walked in the door and was greeted with polite exhuberance , and the warm atmosphere of the lobby. The hotel was quiet,clean,and full of resources to stay independent and focused on the work i came to accomplish. Thanks Candlewood! ill be back! May 29, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BEST HOTEL EVER!!! I travel year round and stay in a lot of different hotels. When I come to The Woodlands, I insist on staying at Candlewood Suites. The staff, the management, the atmosphere, the amenities--perfect! As an indepedent traveler, you could not ask for a better place to stay. I HIGHLY recommend these guys! April 2, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Management Called prior to arrival to request ground level room and was told it was no problem to have a room on the first floor. When I arrived they said they did not have a first floor room available and didn't know about my request. After telling them that I had spoke to their front desk the previous day they offerd to put me in the 'accessible' room at a higher price. I refused to pay the higher price and they reluctantly agreed to let me have the room at the lower rate I had reserved my room at. After seeing the 'accessible' room I knew it would not work for me (all the normal storage removed) with an extended stay and requested to move to another room as soon as it was possible. The front desk told me that would be OK and they would have a room available the next day. The next day there was no room availalble again and I was told they did not know about the request to move and was assured that tomorrow (Friday) rooms would be availalbe. On the third day there was still no room availalbe. Again I was told by the front desk clerk that nobody and made my request known to them and they had just filled the last first floor room. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told there would not be one available until Monday. Finally on Saturday about 9PM I was called that a room was available and I moved to that room. When I swapped out the keys for the new room the clerk told me they had forgotten about the request again and she was just about the fill the empty first floor room when she saw me in the hall and remembered my request. In the new room I found the fridge still had food in it and my dog found a dried out half eaten sandwhich and a dog toy from somewhere in the room shortly after arriving (but otherwise the room was clean). The manager never made an effort to contact me on the Monday they returned. In addition to having diffiuculty fulfilling my room request, during my stay I observed the trashcan in the hall overflowing onto the floor for days at a time. Often this area stunk quite severly of rotted food and waste. When the front desk was made aware of this problem they said that most of the housekeeping staff had recently quit and they were having trouble keeping up with this maintenance. Also, the Candlewood Cupboard which I typically enjoy was poorly stocked and never restocked. I have stayed at several Candlewood Hotels in the past to the point that I am a platinum member, spending numerous weeks each year travelling for business. The others I have stayed at have always been clean and well managed with hepful staff always able to accomadate requests. This Woodlands location clearly falls short of the customer service and cleanliness standards I have observed at other Candelwood Hotels and I would not recommend it. March 7, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I had never stayed at a Candlewood before, but it will not be my last. I was very pleasantly surprized at this hotel. I loved the kitchenette, storage in the bathroom, great ammenities. Perfect for the business traveler or families. Has a great laundry room, exercise room and pool. The snacks in the evening were very classy. Nice decor with classy touches. Near I-45 and loads of shopping and restaurants. A bit tricky to find but just follow your GPS. (On southbound frontage road on I-45, turn right before the BMW dealer - go about a half of block north - located on the left.) Super clean and quiet. Great staff, very personable. I loved the honor system mini store on site. Great business meeting room with lots of outlets for computers. February 20, 2013
