After the frustration of missing my flight, this place was the bright spot in my day. My friend couldn't get to me until after work and my credit card was not working, but the front desk clerk was so accommodating and allowed me to check in instead of waiting for my friend to get off at 4pm. I will be eternally grateful for their help.

A nice place to stay in Troy when you're in the surrounding area for business but the wifi is as slow as dial up. Staff is friendly. Place is in good condition. But I get better rates from the Holiday Inn Express in Auburn Hills and the Staybridge in Utica.

I started coming to Candlewood Suites in Troy since 2004. My routine is to check-in on Monday evening and check out on Friday morning. I find the kitchen facilities perfect to make my carry-on lunch. The cluster of fine restaurants close to the hotel make for a pleasant dining experience.

House keeping service is OK, I like the weekly basis. Great to have complementary laundry service and comfortable rooms. I had to request some specific things and I do not feel comfortable with the staff answers. When is not a manager around the answer on this specific requirements is, I need to talk with the manager. Even a simple request as extend my original check out day the answer was the same (I can not do that You need to talk to my manager). Is the only hotel that I feel No recognition of priority status at all. Many times is kind of smelly going in from the north side door (inside the hotel 2nd floor).
I have to mention that I am currently have a reservation starting 3/24. My last request was yesterday and today (5/8/2013) directly to the manager, I requested to extend my stay until 7/1 but also requested to cut my current stay as of 5/8 as if I was checking out and come up with a new reservation since 5/8 to 7/1. For my expenses paper work in mexico and to handle in a healty way my credit cards, it is the way that works for me but the manager told me that was not possible. Since I do not know your internal system I asked Why?. She said, because you still here, you are not leaving the hotel. Basically I expent about 40 min yesterday and 25 min today with the same back and fore explanation and she let me go completely dissapointed. Of course I know I am still in the hotel I do not understand why she repeated that about 5 times. This is the most convenient place to stay while in Michigan but I am looking for other options no matter if I need to drive longer distances every day. I am completely disapointed about Attention to customer needs for Longer Stays.

It was a bit hard to find, but overall in a good somewhat secluded area and sound is not an issue.

Stay there 3-4 times a year for business. Don't stay long term, just a few days at a time. Love the rooms for work as the large desk space allows for all the my files/computer to be spread out. Convenient location, friendly staff and quite accommodating. Would highly recommend.

The location is the biggest plus for the hotel. It has lot of eating joints and shopping locations within a couple of miles.I would recommend this hotel for the location and comfort.
The cost per night is quite high considering that there is no onsite restaurant / room service , considering that they do not clean the room or change your linen / towels for a week. Last time, I had a ironing board that had lot of wrinkles and they suggested that I need to take it to the reception and get it changed myself. Means that they are understaffed.
You always need to wait for atleast 5 minutes or call on the phone before somebody arrives at the reception to check you in irrespective of the time.

I had a good stay wish they had better deals on the room prices, It is a nice hotel and in a nice quiet area. Would stay again and recommend it to others.
