    Horrible Stay

    I checked in after hours whereas I had no key waiting for me.
    Once checked in I was given room 314 whereas there was no AC working but was the last room per the front desk clerk. The next morning I was informed by the manager that this room was found to have no AC in working order and that a customer had checked in prior to my check in and was given the room I was supposed to get...So basically I was given a used room rather than a clean room. I felt something more than AC was not right. It was a very uncomfortable night due to the excessive room temperature.
    And later to find out a used room. The next day the manager switched me to a different room which I was thankful for.
    After I checked out I was not given my platinum points I paid for by IHG as they gave me only a nights stay rather than the 2 qualifying nights stay and the additional 1000 platinum points I paid extra for. I stay in IHG properties over 20 nights a month and this property I would rate the worst I have ever stayed in...

    Good Price for Extended Stay

    Units are like mini apartments w/a full size fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher, common utensils. there's no pool, continental breakfast, bar or common area. workout area is a single universal gym and several treadmills along side the laundry room with two washers/dryers. beds are average quality (not near as good as most hotels), but pillows are good. price is excellent compared to surrounding hotels. if your staying here for a few days, this it by far the best deal as you can cook your own food when needed. they only clear rooms weekly unless you request it. have to exchange dirty towels at desk

    Good size room, comfortable

    Good value for the price paid. Large room with separate bedroom. Kitchen worked well and was convenient to keep breakfast and cold items. Internet speed was OK but required frequent log-ins. AC unit was noisy - seems to be common in this type of property. Shower head not great, but worked. Reasonably quiet location off the main road.

    Great stay even though it was just one night!

    Although we only stayed one night on our trip through Texas, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at Candlewood Suites in Tyler. Comfortable beds in a clean room and a quiet night. I didn't bring any food, so I didn't use the kitchen. I admit I did miss the free breakfast of other hotels, but that's not part of this package. With the advantage of a full kitchen and fixing your own meals, a family could save money by not eating out every meal. That would make it feel just like home!
