    This hotel has very poor sound absorption; you can hear every step on the ceiling above as if it is a heard of rhinoceros. The room I was in this time did not have a working thermostat which is one of the things I highly valued in my previous review. It doesn't help to have an individual thermostat system if it doesn't work properly. I was awakened twice by the system popping on and off loudly. Then, since I was put in the room next to the stairs, was awakened again early morning to people running down the stairs through the wall as the sound comes right through as if there is no barrier.

    The hallway and lobby floors had not been cleaned in some time.

    I was on a reduced rate so was treated poorly as far as the room they put me in, so my experience was not good whereas others might be better, but seriously the sound comes through the ceiling and walls as if there is nothing blocking it at all.

    And I had just signed up for an IHC credit card because I had decided I would make this my hotel . . . that was not acknowledged at all as far as being a rewards member.

    The front desk lady is very nice, but was sticking it to me silently by putting me in the room she did. They could have given me a decent room because they were not full!

    Always a great place to stay

    Can't beat the value of this chain. My only wish is that this particular location had an automatic sliding door at the front entry. One must wheel their luggage through two doors and unless you have someone to open them for you...it is quite awkward with all of your 'gear'. Other than that, exactly what I hoped and expected.
