We visited Phoenix, AZ for the first time this month. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Tempe. The room was nice, the beds great, and the night front desk manager was so helpful.
There are were a
couple of things that could have been improved. The heating/air conditioning unit in our room (216) did not work well. With four people in the room, the temperature would rise and we were hot at night. We turned the a/c on low and high. In both cases it would just shut off and there was nothing we could do to cool the room. Since the outdoor weather was cool, we didn't make a fuss about it, but we should have. This needs to be fixed.
Also, when a family of four stays in a room, there should be four towels left in the room by the maids. They should have been able to determine after the first night that we had more than the three towels they originally placed in the room. Reservations and house keeping should work together. When a room has four occupants over several nights, the occupants should not have to continually ask for extra towels. [Less]
