Convenient location, friendly GM and staff
I booked two loft suite rooms for totally 6 people. The suite is a loft with two queen beds on each floor. I contacted the hotel via email in advance to ask for an extra bed. Its GM Richard responded
promptly and add a rollaway bed to each room with no extra cost.
On the check-in day, we arrived in the morning and only one room was available. The morning check-in process was smooth but I wasn't greeted as an elite member. Though I was greeted by Asher in the afternoon when I checked in another room. And he offered a lot help in moving in rollaway beds and delivering beddings.
Our rooms were arranged in the corner and next to each other. This is a fairly old hotel but the room is spacious and clean. Corner rooms were quiet and we felt very relax and comfortable. The breakfast is HIX American standard and you couldn't expect more from that. The dining room is tiny comparing with the other US HIX and we had to take away foods when it was full. [Less]
Clean, good staff, good location, expensive
The staff at this HIX is far more attentive than you'd expect at a value-based hotel like HIX. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast area is cleaned, maintained, and refreshed throughout the
breakfast service. The room and the bathroom were clean.
Our room faced Olympic Blvd., so there was traffic noise.
You can't beat the location for the West Side.
It's really expensive for a HIX, and you must use the $18/day valet parking because the surrounding neighborhood is parking by-resident-permit-only.
There is no pool nor fitness room. [Less]

I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express Century City to anyone traveling to the LA area! The hotel staff couldn't have been better. They are so friendly and helpful. After a 4 night stay,
the staff felt like family to us. The rooms are amazing! Everything is so clean and comfortable. We will be staying at this location every time we go to LA! [Less]
