As this was a business trip, certain arrangements for tax purposes and other documentation had to be made between my employer and the hotel. The people who answered the phone were not knowledgeable
enough to help and the manager would not come to the phone. She even had the audacity to tell the person on the phone to tell me that I did not have to have the requested information. Therefore, not only was she also not knowledgeable, she was rude and not helpful. I had to get one of my superiors to contact one of her superiors in order to make my reservation and get the needed paperwork. I was actually dreading my stay there.
Obviously then, I was quite surprised to find friendly helpful staff upon my arrival. I came and went early mornings and late evenings for a week, and the people at the front desk were consistently congenial and helpful. I read their name tags and it was not the people who had given me trouble on the phone with my reservation.
