This was a very convenient hotel to the cruise ships. The lobby is on the ground floor in the parking garage which was a little different. It was comfortable and clean. There is a nice seating area to wait in for your free transport to the ship or airport. The restaurant was clean and the service and food was very good. the out door pool was nothing special but it was on the 5th floor. My husband and I stayed in the suite which was very large. Large foyer with galley kitchen (sink, microwave, full frig but no utensils or dishes. not sure why there are so many cabinets.), dinning room table, desk, sofa bed, two large chairs, separate King bedroom with large bathroom room with jetted tub and separate shower stall. Also another half bathroom with plenty of towels. Over kill for two people, but if you have a large family or group, it would be perfect.

ONLY disappointment was the inability of the Transportation Director to deliver transportation to the Galleria Mall on the evening of arrival.
HOWEVER .. we spent our evening eating at the hotel and were treated VERY well by Fernando and "Bu" in the resturant.
Next morning "Maria" was our waitress and she, also, was delightful.
All meals were well prepared and arrive hot at the table.
Service to the airport was as scheduled.
If I am stranded on an island, I hope this Crowne Plaza is there.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Front desk arranged a shuttle for me to go shopping. Suite was very spacious and comfortable, airconditioning a little noise but would highly recommend. Thought the restaurant was not up to the standard of the room. Used the wakeup call service and free shuttle to the airport, greatly appreciated this service.

Everything went well, according to plan. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Dinner at Kiki's was a nicely prepared steak, and breakfast was delivered to my room promptly on time.

Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 Receptionist tried to turf away my family
My spouse and I arrived at 4pm without a glitch. My brother, his family and my parents arrived 10:40pm and were told there was a technical problem with their room. Not rooms but room. When I went down to greet them with my video camera, the front desk man suddenly changed his statement and said, "Oh you are different Hongs. Your two rooms are just down the hall from his." Lie lie lie! My parents are 84 and 79 and he wanted to move them to another hotel! It's on film. Want me to share it with you?

i travel most days of the week and month...so, i wanted to take a day to enjoy in Ft Lauderdale hotel...
first of all, my reservation had not been updated to the location and it took 3 people to figure it out...
the process was slow and inefficient to the point that I mentioned I would go to another location that could make a reservation...
besides other odd comments made to me and a front desk person that made me feel that I was an annoyance...
the kicker was that they had put the wrong name on my new reservation they just converted to this site and when I mentioned it...this was the front desk response "oh it doesn't matter anyway"
I said, "it matters to me, this is not my name and I need it correct for my company expenses" and was told "it's close enough"
never again will I return to this location

I stayed at this Crowne Plaza the night before departing on a cruise. Easy to get the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and check-in went very smoothly. I asked about a taxi to go to the Hard Rock Casino and was told that they had a transport company on site. That was a much better choice - given a flat rate price and the service was excellent. I ate breakfast at the onsite restaurant and the wait staff were very attentive. The food was fine. Overall, this is a good hotel for this purpose. Seems like a lot of people stay here pre- and post cruise. There is not much to do in walking distance.

The room was awesome, the location was great, the staff was attentive. If you are looking for a place to lay your head, relax or just chill out then this is the place for you. The pool is on the 5th floor so you can have your privacy and look down on the traffic but not be a part of the traffic. Fitness, fun and food is all at your fingertips. The staff was more than happy to help and answer any questions. It was great to know that the shuttle service was complimentary to get us to the cruise ship and for a small fee they picked us up at the ship and delivered us to the airport. Will definitely use them again on our next trip back.

Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by GrahamW Very helpful & friendly staff
The beds were very comfortable. Although close to the airport, the room was very quiet (we particularly liked the notice in the corridor asking people to respect other guests’ need for quiet – “no marching bands or circus animals”).
The staff were extremely helpful, in particular Melinda went to a lot of trouble to arrange a 7am cab to get me to Hollywood Beach for a meeting. The free shuttle to the airport was very convenient.
The Sundry Store is well-stocked (including some nice Californian wine).
Kiki’s restaurant is pleasant enough and the food is OK.
The hotel is not that convenient for downtown Fort Lauderdale or the seafront, although there’s a Hertz rental facility onsite and there are bus stops around the corner on Highway 1 from where you can get a No1 bus northwards to downtown Fort Lauderdale or southwards to Hollywood, connecting with a No 4 bus toward and along the Hollywood seafront. The nearest supermarket (Publix) is 20mins walk away and there are some restaurants within a similar distance.
We ordered Margaritas in Kiki’s restaurant but they were pre-mixed.

Plus breakfast is extra!

Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Saljon Convenient and good but noisy aircon!
Overall we were happy with our stay. The rental car return in the hotel was really handy and the facilities such as pool etc were fine. Ours was a cheaper room so a little on the small side, well appointed but let down by a really noisy aircon unit right next to the bed so you were either freezing or deafened, other than that, all good. One request would be a decent coffee machine in the cafe or somewhereI.e. fresh espresso etc rather than instant that you could buy in the shop.

This hotel is the closest to the Cruise Terminal & within a reasonable proximity to the Airport
I found this hotel very nice, more than I expected & the shuttle was a definite + since this close you generally don't find any amenities such as great dining places ,but the shuttle; airport - hotel was great. There is a fee for the shuttle to the cruise terminal which is simply a stones throw away - get rid of the fee & offer free shuttle service.

I usually stay for business further into town. This trip I was arriving on a late flight, wanted to eat and go to bed asap after landing to get ready for full day of meetings next day. Crowne Plaza was excellent choice, great price. Was it luxury to the max? Nope. Was it well done and just right for a traveling biz person? ; for sure for sure. Sat at the bar after 9pm enjoyed a nice meal and watched baseball on the flat panel in the bar while eating; my king bed room was well sized, nice TV and work area, I was very happy. I intend to use this property in the future for business; and my family takes a cruise about once a year, this is now on my wife's short list to check out for our use pre and post cruise. Good job Crowne Plaza Ft Lauderdale Airport.

Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Fsuga Barely, Sort Of, Perhaps, OK
The biggest problem with this hotel, aside from the decaying bathroom fixtures, is the lack of customer care.
I contacted Crowne Plaza customer service regarding the terrible condition of our room immediately following our stay, after getting nowhere with management at the hotel, and have yet to hear back months later. I even took the post-stay survey they sent me, again detailing all of the issues, with no response. Here's the scoop on the hotel:
There are pictures attached to this posting that show the condition of the room. Unfortunately, it seems that the pictures I have showing handwriting all over my shower walls are too big to post on this site. That was the strangest part of the stay too. Trust me, it was there.
In addition to that, there were also stains in bright yellow on the shower walls. Like somebody went coloring with a highlighter all over the place. Just to check, I scrubbed the heck out of one of them and after a few minutes of serious elbow grease, was able to get it to fade substantially. This tells me that housekeeping made no effort at all to remove them. That's terrible.
Also, the handle to the shower door was literally falling apart to the touch. Chunks fell off literally every time it was touched. I informed the front desk of this, and nothing was done for my entire stay. See pic.
The hotel is very close to the FLL airport and Port Everglades, which would make it convenient for those in on business or about to take a cruise. Access to the hotel is a bit tricky as you really can't see the entrance to the parking garage and it it immediately after an intersection. There is also no left turn out of the garage, so getting back to Federal Highway 1 (the main road) requires going up the street and making a U-turn.
Our room was OK, a bit on the small side, but manageable. Nice modern-ish decor with a small LCD TV. The TV does not get HD programming though, so of course, the standard definition channels look terrible on it. I don't know why the lower-mid range chains spend money on the flat screens and then send lousy pictures to them.
The area is quite industrial, so if you want a room with a view, this is not the place.
There is a tiny pool that was not clean on our stay. A lot of debris/leaves at the bottom for the duration. As I said, it's an industrial area, so there aren't exactly a ton of trees around to dump leaves, which again leads me to believe it is not cleaned daily. Or perhaps weekly.
The lobby is very tiny, right off the parking garage on the lowest level, but clean and modern. You are required to pay daily for valet or self parking. There is nowhere nearby to park your car otherwise. Neither option was cheap, but I remember laughing when the guy told me the price to valet.
They do have a small fitness room, a convenience store, and restaurant that was literally always empty when I walked by.
All in all, I wouldn't stay here again. And I wouldn't advise anybody else to. Just overall lack of concern from the staff, all the way to corporate is enough to turn me off.
