Very comfortable room - clean with good sized bathroom (large bath a bonus), good night's sleep, excellent breakfast, Location superb for travel into central London, the O2 and ExCel. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Amazing staff and facilities My friend and I where attending comic con in October in the London docklands area and I found this hotel was not only close to our venue but has very reasonable prices. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the beds were so comfy we fell asleep no problem. The hotel also has a pool and jacuzzi which was a bonus which we enjoyed. As we were going to be in costumes (for the con) we informed the staff and they were they kind and even took some photos for us. The whole trip was brilliant and my friend and I agree that this hotel was the reason why we had such a good time. 2. November 2012
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Great Stay Our stay was very good. The welcome we received was very friendly and made us feel at ease. All the staff were very professional and helpful. The room was a good size, clean and well equiped. We were going to the Excel center which was within easy walking distance. All in all we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel to others going to London. The price was very competitive. 26. Oktober 2012
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 Best sleep ever ! The hotel itself is very well presented and you can see why from the moment you enter the foyer. The staff are very friendly and helpful, eager to please and offer information on all the facilities that the hotel has to offer. The facilities themselves are very impressive, A fully functional gym, swimming pool and sauna. When it came to our room we opted for a river view which faced the Thames and we could also see the millenium dome from our window. The room itself was very tidy and functional. The bathroom was very modern and had everything we needed including a bath/shower. Clean and tidy we had all we needed. But the final icing on the cake was the bedding, I can honestly say we had the best sleep ever ! I believe the duvet was made from egyptian cotton and felt so warm and soft that it seemed almost criminal to get up out of bed in the morning ! Breakfast in the restaurant next morning was absolutely first class, everything tasted perfect. Nothing was left on our plates and we were extremely satisfied with what we had eaten. I would highly recommend you stay at this hotel if you are visiting the Excel building as this was a mere 5 minuites walk and was ideal for our requirements. 26. Oktober 2012

Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Dissapointed I booked an superior or executive non smoking room. The room was small with a faint smell of smoke being an ex smoker I cant notice it, the carpet was worn and had streched making an uneven floor. The view was the top of the multistory car park i had to park in as the hotel car park was full it cost £5 more as well. The Queen rooms are £35 less and have the nicer river view. We had 14 in our party and it took over 15 minuites for us all to be served with a drink three staff at the bar not busy but poorly trained uninterested or both. Later that evening on our return from the O2 the service was very good also brekfast was very good i would recomend the porridge and poached eggs. 13. Oktober 2012
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by nice hotel but not so sure about restaurant. good location for london triathlon. we visited the restaurant 3 times and each occasion had to go to the bar to order food and drink because no one asked us in good time. same for the bill once too. then when the nachos and cheese arrived they were cold. the other meals were fine though. also when trying to get wireless i called reception for the password and no one answered the phone so didnt bother in the end. think will try another hotel next year considering it was quite expensive. also, wouldnt use the pool because everyone from outside the hotel walking past can see you. its far from private. check in took ages but thats probably because of the triathlon but they coud have anticipated that so should have got more staff. 5. Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Overall experience The Crowne Plaza is a very nice comfortable hotel and like all hotels it is the Staff that make the hotel and like all hotels you have Staff who just do their jobs. I was their with my Daughter and we wanted room services. The phone in our room was not working and Staff on duty not very helpful. The day we were leaving we booked a car and it did not turn up again Staff not very helpful. We had a plane to catch. 29. September 2012
Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Room okay, but poor staff and no Priority Club points Seems like a continuing theme from previous reviews, but the things that let this hotel down seem to be a shortage of staff and Priority Club points not posting. I arrived to check-in on a Saturday afternoon and waited 10 minutes for the one person on check-in to deal with the one person in front of me. Other people were complaining at the same time that they couldn't exit the car park, and there was no-one on reception or the concierge desk to help. Room was okay although the view was of an apartment block about 10 metres away and noise from aircraft at the nearby London City Airport noticeable on Sunday evening (the airport is closed Saturday night#. On the second day, my towels had been taken away but not replaced, tried calling housekeeping and reception several times but no reply, eventually went down and again a long wait to speak to anyone. Finally, my stay has posted today as non-qualifying, so no Priority Club points. I have booked many rooms at other IHG hotels in the last few years using the same rate #weekend 2-4-1) and all have posted as qualifying except this one. 21. September 2012
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Fair hotel, fair price Okay hotel for price, had comfortable bed, needed better line of toiletries for price point and compared to other Crowne Plazas. Location very good for Emirates Skyline which is a fun trip if you want an excursion on your Oyster card. Royal Victoria DLR station is about a two minute walk from hotel so transport no problem. Takes about thirty minutes from central london via Jubilee / DLR lines. Overall not bad, few hiccups with slow wifi connection and key card issues, fair hotel for fair price. 17. September 2012

Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Good location, friendly staff I stay here frequently due to the reasonable room rates and proximity to the DLR. Staff very friendly and rooms of good quality. Certainly better value than comparable hotels nearby. One niggle would be around the food. As a vegetarian the options are limited and rather uninspiring and tend to be straight from (I suspect) the freezer. 12. September 2012
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Terrible Breakfast We stayed here to visit an Olympic event, room was ok , air con seemed to nothing to the temperature of the room. Desk staff were very good upon check in. The let down was the dining area and breakfast, we stopped for a quick snack at lunch and the waitress seemed on another planet, there was no one welcoming people at the front so you waited like a lemon to be sat. Food was average. Breakfast was awful on Sunday, we got down about 9:30, we again waited to be seated and was eventually spotted , they took our room number and said sit where you like. I had to clear a table to do so, the dining room was filthy with used tables and dirty breakfast plates everywhere you could see. We waited 5 minutes no one came, had to find someone to request a pot of tea, there was no bread for toast , no butter, fruit juice was empty, cold meats were empty , no cheese, dregs of a fruit salad, no eggs on the hot plate. Had to request bread , had to wait for eggs to be cooked, no one serving behind the hot plate , just poor. 12. September 2012
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by hot and tired We spent the weekend at the crowne plaza docklands from 17-19 August. Although the hotel itself seemed reasonably nice and facilities available were quite good, it was severely let down by the faulty air conditioning, which was one of the main reasons why we chose this hotel. having two young children it is difficult to get them to sleep with four of us in the same room at the best of times, throw into this the high temperatures and lack of air con and it became impossible. after complaining to the reception and asking to be put into another room, we were advised that only rooms on floors 1 & 2 had working air con and all of these rooms were fully booked for the weekend. we managed to get about 2 hours sleep each night. the desk staff did not seem to be particularly bothered that we had this problem, presumably because it has been an issue for a while. still cant understand why something like air con cannot be fixed within 24 hours, even if a portable unit was provided. 25. Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Olympics DEBACLE - Buyer Beware Both rooms that I had reserved had no air conditioning. Was told it would be fixed the following day after check in but it was not. Actually - never even saw any repairmen during our four night stay. Did not receive any welcome or recognition as a Platinum member. Internet was incredibly slow - when it worked. Had to leave windows open because the rooms were so hot - just to have the noise from the airport keep us up all night - not a pleasant experience in the least. Staff didn't seem to care much - offered a mere 10% discount on the rooms that were so overly inflated due to the Olympics. If the rest of our group wasn't staying there, I would have switched hotels. Was hoping they would provide some relief - but nope. And ... I didn't even earn points for my stay??? Non-Qualifying Overlapping Stay shows in my profile for this trip!!!! One word - RIDICULOUS! 21. August 2012
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Good stay in London - staff courteous and efficient I stayed over one of the weekends during the Olympics. Perfect location for the ExCel, London City Airport and easy accessibility to downtown london as the hotel is only a short 3 minute walk to the DLR system, and literally just across from the new Emirates Skyline. An issue with my hotel room when I arrived (air con was not working) was quickly rectified by the Management. The staff were excellent - courteous and efficient. They allowed us to use the sports facilities when we initially arrived early (before check-in time) to change and have a quick shower. I would highly recommend to stay here, although we paid a high room rate due to the fact that the Olympics was taking place. 20. August 2012

Convenient for transport links without the hustle and bustle of central London.Anything we needed was provided and it was a very clean place.The hotel restaurant was very clean and the food was lovely.Staff were most helpful and pleasant.I will be visiting this hotel again in the future. 17. We were meet by Ashraf at the front desk, who ensured that all our needs were catered for. Throughout our stay, nothing was to much trouble for the staff. They are extremely proffessional and friendly. Erica in the Restaurant provided excellent service at breakfast each morning, never forgetting our different requests, such as tea for our daughter. The facitlities in the hotel were superb. This is a very clean, comfortable hotel and we will definetely make a return visit. Chris. 10. August 2012
Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by A night mare This was a debacle, I decided to stay here thinking that it would be more comfortable to stay in a hotel close to the Olympic Park than returning home and I was the worst experience I have ever had in any hotel. The room smelled smoking, the air conditioning did not work. I stayed up until midnight until someone brought some fans to the room to cool off since it felt 45 degrees. The complimentary water was not available in the room as it is offer, the view of the parking lot and I am an Ambassador member, and the Internet never worked. My goodness grace what a night mare. I promise this year would be the last year of this membership. And now, I see that my rewards has been denied to my member ship, why? I need to know an explanation. Really regret to get involve with this program, hotel chain and everything that has to do with PC. 9. August 2012
