Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Group Golf Break Had a great golfing weekend away with friends. From the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful and made our stay a very pleasurable one. Both courses were in a very good condition although the Lakes was my favorite. The quality and amount of food in the Brasserie was great, the only problem was we probably over indulged and had to have a walk around the grounds after dinner. We stayed in the village and the room was very comfortable and clean although the temperature on the stairs was very hot. Will definitely return as will our friends. 17. September 2014
Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Great time however messed our bill up on three occasions The hotel and facilities are great with the staff in the golf club doing their best to sort the lack of equipment to hire, buggies,trollies etc However hotel tried to over charge us at time of booking,at check in and when we checked out and then to top it off we got a phone call three days later to say that they made another mistake and under charged us and there is more to pay. In summary had a great time but ensure you CHECK YOUR BILL as there seems to be a lot of mistakes on favour of the hotel 17. September 2014

Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Dirty carpets The carpet in my room was stained in several places which was unpleasant and unacceptable in a hotel of this standard. The furniture was chipped in several places and the hinges were loose on the tea making facility door. The ceiling/wall join had been repainted and was a different colour from the wall which gave a tired, worn impression. Bathroom was excellent. The carpet on the stairs and hallway needed vacuuming. The smoking area door leading to the main hotel block was a disgrace being littered with hundreds of cigarette ends - surely a bin or cigarette-end dispenser could be provided. The breakfast was excellent except that the tea and coffee served in the small dining room on the first day of our stay was not hot. On the second day we had breakfast in the main restaurant and the tea and coffee was piping hot. 10. September 2014
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Too Noisy! I booked this hoping for a relaxing night with my husband and son but it didn't really work for us. The hotel looks very nice and is stylish but we found the room very small for 3. The health club is ok but the changing rooms need a bit of updating, the Jacuzzi is pointless as hardly any bubbles and the towels are far too small. We booked the smaller restaurant for the evening which was okay but as it was so open plan to the lobby it was hard to have a quiet meal. The food was nice but long waits between courses ( we told there was just one chef) and we had to send the cheeseboard back as the Brie was hard and chalky. It also took 3 attempts to get our bill right - this is because there is no computer in the restaurant and they print a list at %pm of the rooms that have pre-paid for dinner. If you haven't checked in by 5pm you aren't on the list - slightly crazy system! The main issue we had was that we just wanted a quiet drink and chat and there was nowhere to do this. The main bar had very loud football on at 8pm when we went for a pre-dinner drink and this was still on when we went back into the bar at 10.30pm. We asked if there was anywhere we could that was quieter and were told all other bars were closed except the nightclub. They have a sports bar so why not keep this for football? The whole bar/reception/lobby are has the feel of an airport hotel as it is quiet open plan and noisy. Not really what we expected from a 4* Crowne Plaza and we wouldn't stay again. Overall very disappointed and feel we could have got better for the money elsewhere. 9. September 2014

Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Silverfish insect the biggest I've ever seen Silverfish insect the biggest I've ever seen appeared in the bathroom, unpleasant smell associated with silverfish and decay. Reception Staff were good and enabled me to change the block and room. Restaurant staff refused me the opportunity to dine as it meant setting a table and taking an order - there were only 30 minutes left before they stopped serving food. Beds were horrible, far too soft without any support, 5. September 2014
