Having just returned home after a good trip to Middle East I would like to share my memories with those reading this review.
This is, no doubts, a superb hotel. And what makes this hotel even outstanding is its incredible staff - the polite, nice, responsive, helpful, friendly people who work for us to make our stay memorable, a real holiday.
My wife, my daugther and I especially thank Mr. Ashley for his readiness to help, for his being attentive to every detail and courteous to each customer.
Needless to say about the exceptional cleanliness in public zones of the building and inside the guest room. Splendid aroma of lovely toilettries put everyone of us in a good mood.
Excellent breakfast was a good start of a new day. The breakfast choice is neatly carried out and includes even fresh exotic fruit carefully selected for us by the personnel of the restaurant "Tropicana".
We liked very much the magnificent, stunning views of the sea inlet from the club lounge on the 6th floor.
Great hotel, marvellous people working in it - I am writing this all with the utmost pleasure and, if by any chance I return to Muscat I will certainly stay with Crowne Plaza Muscat.

Positive: very good location, skilled staff - reception, beatiful beach.
Negative: when I came to the room - broken glass, broken cosmetic mirrow, safe-box doesn't work, small room - so I and my wife disterb each other in the narrow place between bad and TV.
They even didn't want to provide a room earlier for the Club Member - GOLD and asked about the payment of half a tariff!!!!

It's becoming difficult to think of superlatives for this hotel. This is our ninth visit. This is a great hotel in a wonderful country.

This was our eighth stay at the Crowne Plaza. The first visit was good and it has become progressively better. The location is stunning and the rooms and restaurants are wonderful.

I was keen to see what the CP was like and spent 2 days there last week. The location was excellent and the views over the private beach and along the coast of Oman were excellent.
As a Platinum member (also RA as well) I was a bit surprised that initial room that I was allocated was not upgraded. I was informed that the hotel was very full. This room was rather basic with several dirty marks on the walls.
On the second night I moved to a 6th floor room and this provided a great improvement. The new room and bathroom were much larger and also came with a private balcony overlooking the coast.
Breakfasts were great and the dining area by the pool was superb.
The free internet in the hotel rooms was rather slow but was functional.
The club floor lounge was very compact but the food and drinks offerings made up for this.
The evening dining buffet in Tropicana's offered an excellent selection of freshly grilled fish and meat as well as the normal buffet fare. It was also perfectly positioned for after dinner drinks at the pool bar.
I never had a chance to use the gym but it looked excellent from what I could see.
All in all, it was a good stay with good value and I would recommend it.

This hotel is a Crowne Plaza, but compared to other Crowne Plazas around the world it is definitely inferior by far. The rooms are a disappointment, and this hotel is clearly to expensive for what it proposes.

This was my first visit to the Crowne Plaza in Muscat and they lived up to their reputation. It was a first class experience, except for the service at Dukes, had to wait for drinks, refills, had to go find the waiter on several occasions. Beyond that it was a memorable experience I will definitely stay there during my next visit to Muscat

This was my first visit to Oman, and the welcome we received at the Crown Plaza was a great introduction to a very friendly country. Our sea view room was large, comfortable and well appointed and the breakfast buffet (we were on B&B terms - good value) was amazing! Every member of staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful, which made for a very relaxed stay. Also a plus was the hotel free shuttle to the Souk for a leisurely wander around. The hotel is in a wonderful position on a headland, but this does mean that walking around from the hotel is very limited if you want to do so. Overall, we would certainly return to this hotel if we are back in Muscat.
