I come back again at Crowne Plaza in Padova for a business trip, and I experienced again an outstanding experience.
Nice and clean place, nice and clean rooms, nice people (both at the front desk and at the restaurant-Stefano), big free parking, and private (charged extra) for those who need it (great to have the choice between free and pay), easy to reach from the motorway.
I definitively RECOMMEND AGAIN this hotel, and of course I will COME BACK.
My compliments to the General Manager, please continue this way.

I visit this CP regularly and find it exceptional under many aspects. This time however there have been a few blips:
- I have not been recognised as a Gold Elite customer
- The welcome drink (part of my booking package) has not been mentioned and I had to ask for it afterwards, which was slightly embarassing
- I requested a paid upgrade through the option at time of booking. When I checked in I was not told that there were no rooms, so again I had to go back and ask about the upgrade. The staff told me they knew nothing about my paid upgrade request even though I showed the request confirmation from my inbox. I should have at least bben told at check in that there was no availability.
This said, the staff has been otherwise attentive and caring as usual, with a special mention to the AQuattro waiting staff. They are always very nice with us and with our two little children, at dinner and even more at breakfast. Rooms and the hotel overall are welcoming and clean. It may help to have a staff member to man the bar, a few times we had to go and search for someone if we wanted a drink from the bar.

This particular Crowne is quite hard to find unless you have a very up to date GPS. We punched in the address on our GPS and it did not register. Only after going to the area did we find out that Via Po is actually a road divided in to with a large gap in between.
This is the first IHG hotel that I have been to where I was not recognized in any way (not even the token welcome drink) for my Gold Ambassador status. Further, the hotel tried to charge for parking even though the deal that I booked included parking. It was sorted easily enough, but after having such consistently good service from IHG this experience really stood out.
The room was quite nice, but the amenities had not been fully stocked and there was a little... *something* in the toilet when we first arrived. These missing little touches make you a bit nervous about the care given to the room, but that was all that we noticed.
We ate at the hotel restaurant and can honestly say it is the worst food that we had during our stay in Italy and possibly the worst Italian food we've ever had. The pasta was strangely biter and crumbly. The bread was stale.
The hotel could be really good with a bit better attention to detail. Hopefully management can make some corrections and your stay there will be great!
If you go, skip the hotel restaurant and go down the road to Antica Trattoria Bertolini - fantastic Italian food.
