Lack of Attention / Understaffed / Poor Customer Service

The stay got off to a good start was welcomed by receptionist and given my room upgrade complimentary beverage coupon as normal being an Ambassador Platinum member, but from there it turned for the worse. Arrived on Shabbat so understand that was going to be no restraunt which was fine for Friday night and Saturday but could not even get waited on in the lounge had to fight for attention of the staff to get my free beer. No sweats or dessert said had all sold out. (it was 8:00 pm). So had another beer and called it a night. Next day waited for 15 minutes for the conceirge to discuss on a local tour arrangement, no one showed so finally just left and got my own cab. (Note: arranged tour with cab driver directly he was at least appreciative of the business). Saturday night tried the bar again this time went directly to the bar and was successful asked for some pretzels but they never came. Sunday had good time visitied Jericho and the temptation monestary and some time in the old city. Thought okay Shabbat over can eat at the hotel after shower and relax some. Called up restraunt but closed, went down stairs bar closed. Both closed all week saying preparing for passover but never announced when checking in or anything. Too tired to go out so just went to sleep. (Note: at checkout found others had a minibar stocked. But mine was empty!). And to top it off they put someone else's reciept in my payment envelope but I only found that out later when I opened envelope to start my expense report. He must have grabbed the wrong one off the printer but he was the only one at the desk doing check out and was doing 2 guests at the same time. Not his fault the hotel is not being managed effectively and this hotel does not live up to the IHG standards that I have had experienced globally with the IHG brands.

worn down and worn out

1)Hotel is generally very worned down.
2)Air conditioning only switiched on and locked on warm and hot for the season until end of March. Totally unprepared and unable to switch to cold air as temperatures went up to 25-28 C. No fans available at all to help situation. Reception suggested custmers to leave balcony door open all nithg, but no help and nosie level was very high so there were 3 sleeepless nights
3)Bath room not well cleaned. Shower curtains dirty
4)No signs for ice machine. Machine is also rusty and dirty.

Overall expreience of my stay

I was kind of sad about this Crown Plaza since it is the worst one I have ever stayed in my life in terms of service, room type, breakfast and value. It does not seem to have the quality of other Crown Plaza hotels and I, as a Platinum member, will definitely not stay here next time when I travel to Jerusalem.

Excelente custo benefício

Apesar de não estar localizado na cidade velha de Jerusalém, gostamos muito da nossa estadia no Hotel.
Bem próximo ao hotel tem um ponto dos novos trens que nos leva até os principais pontos turísticos da cidade
O mesmo é antigo porém não tivemos a impressão de má conservação.
A Equipe do hotel foi muito gentil em recolher algumas mudas de roupas que esquecemos no armário que retiramos após alguns dias.
O café da manhã é excelente!!!
