I stayed in the ambassador suite, this is a nice room but it would be better if the area the room opens out to on the roof had a few more plants around it and maybe a bit of decking, it looks like the bath could be a Jacuzzi bath and this would have been good addition if it worked. Still its much nicer than your average hotel room, so much so I have booked it again.
Top marks for the person looking after the bar at lunch time and the second person who was on the desk later on, in fact the last time we stayed she was on the desk and very nice that time too, a fine example of good customer service.
The food was hit and miss some very good ( recommend the burger and the baileys dessert ).

A great night's sleep but evening food service far too slow

The sleep side of things is sorted - Comfortable bed, great pillows and complimentary lavender spray to help you nod off. The Air Con is terrible, despite following the instructions it is extremely difficult to get the ideal temperature and if you do achieve this, as soon as you leave the room and remove the card key it will re-set, usually to freezing - I pack a hot water bottle.
The food is underwhelming in the evening and service is slow on the up-side breakfast is spot on. Full English, continental and cereals/toast/yoghurt and a plethora of fruit - Even a spinach/grape/apple yoghurt drink which is actually very good.
Lastly there is a very inconsistent approach to refreshing the room if you are staying multiple nights in a row - Sometimes you will receive biscuits, water, toiletries, alas sometimes not. If you ask, this will be seen to but really you shouldn't need to request these things, they should be there to minimise hassle.

We love this hotel and it's location and have been a few times now. I love the aircraft on the old runway. The parking is secure and there's always plenty of spaces. The staff are very efficient, some are better than others in that they explain everything at check in. I know it's probably boring to say the same old thing but as a customer it's informative and we do want to hear it.
On our most recent visit we noticed a stain on the bedding (throw at the bottom of the bed) it also had threads on it. I can't believe the staff had not seen this. There were also marks on the carpet in the breakfast area which was disappointing. I think they're due for a small refurb. We had a bill pushed under our door which was not even applicable to us and the staff did say it was fine and no payment was due but disappointing all the same.

I love a croissant in the morning when having a hotel breakfast. I took 2 and both were rock hard!!
