Very noisy - unable to sleep

This hotel was very noisy due to a live band in a function room. My room was directly above the function room and was not soundproofed. The night manager was completely unwilling / unable to do anything about this situation.

Diamond Wedding Celebration enjoyed by all.

We had a wonderful evening with family and friends to celebrate our Diamond Wedding.
The functions room looked superb and the balcony overlooking the river was a bonus.
Food was delicious and all staff very friendly and efficient.

Good hotel but staff need customer service training

I am a regular visitor to this hotel and its generally very good..

However as problems do arise the reaction of some of the front desk staff when you bring them to their attention leaves a lot to be desired often with a surly or grudging response and no apology.

Other front desk and hotel staff are excellent and the hotel managers really go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.. however this lack of consistency in dealing with guests needs to be addressed urgently.

The hotel is in a great location and close to nice pubs and the river.

Sometimes the internet is slow and the TV reception is sometimes unreliable.
