Newly Overhauled Lobby and Rooms

I have stayed at this particular hotel for many years, but I am very pleased with the upgrade from the past couple of years. The rooms are more polished and the lobby area is more welcoming. It was a much more comfortable experience thanks to these changes!

Inconvenient and poor staff communication

For our wedding, we had lots of people needing to come in and out of our rooms for prep and pictures, which no one could do because cards were needed to access the elevators, which was a safety measure, but extremely difficult and inconvenient. Also, my wedding guests were treated rudely at checkout, payment was not taken correctly which ended in requiring a guest to return to the hotel after already checking out until the matter was resolved by a manager, and complete confusion about breakfast vouchers for our guests. The wedding blocks are contracted separately from regular reservations so it seems there is no communication and there was just confusion and misinformation the entire time. Would not recommend for a wedding block or wedding prep location.

The room was really nice and the food in the restaurant was fantastic. We had just eaten in the city for days and this was by far the best meal I had. The woman in the gift shop also went above and beyond to help me find a last minute hair accent for the bride. My issues were that my card was charged 6 times total and should have been twice. The funds were replaced but it put a $4000 hold on it for days. Also we believe we lost a new pair of sunglasses in the room. I called and left a message but couldn't get a human response any of the times I called. If it were not for these two occurrences I would have given the hotel 5 stars.
