Trouble with reservation

I traveled to Atlanta with my daughter to visit Georgia Tech. I reserved a room with two beds for two nights and we arrived around 10:30 PM. The first room we were given had only one bed, which was not acceptable. I returned to the front desk and waited a good while, only to be told there were no rooms with two beds remaining. Finally after much searching, a room with two beds was found, but it was about midnight before we were able to climb into bed. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds and pillows, but the bathroom needed updating.

All the staff were friendly and conscientious, but two people at the front desk is simply insufficient for a hotel of this size, especially when several people had problems with their rooms or reservations.

The biggest pros were the location and breakfast, both excellent. Overall value for the quality and location was above average.

awful climate control

The thermostat was broken causing a cold room. the second day the engineer fixed the unit which failed within a few hours. when I attempted to change rooms, the front desk was quick to tell me they only had 2-double bed rooms left when i had a single king. when I declined, they miraculously found another single king. the last 2 nights were comfortable. Wake-up calls are unreliable, they failed to call me 2 out of 3 mornings. Although they did honor their policy and comp'd me those 2 nights. Internet service is awful, reminiscent of dial-up necessitating the purchase of enhanced service for $14.95/per day.

room comfortable

the room was very nice but there should be better direction on where to park and the walk from parking to reception area is quite long. service in the restaurant was less than average. food was cold, chef was less than helpful when asked about food for people with allergies and server was not especially friendly or able to return with requested items.
