Reasonably Comfortable

Our stay was mostly a comfortable one, with all our needs met. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I like the parking places reserved for ladies.

Three quibbles: the AC was very noisy, turning on and off; the microwave light is too bright; breakfast is over-priced.

Highlights: decor and ambiance are pleasing and soothing; landscaping is beautiful; player piano plays tasteful music (a little repetitive, though!)

Overall, this is a great hotel for a small conference.

Comfortable bed, but horrible drainage

The room was nice and the bed was quite comfortable. That's where the good stuff ends. When washing your hands or brushing your teeth, the water pools in the sink and goes out really slowly leaving soap scum in the sink. It took several attempts to rinse all of the stuff out of the sink. When I took a shower, the water came up to cover my ankle because it wasn't draining. It took ten full minutes for all of the water to go out before I left the bathroom. I had to wipe the bathtub out to get all of the soap out. The experience was not my idea of a real shower.

I also ate at the restaurant inside the hotel for breakfast and lunch. The food was pretty good, but the service was horrible. My party had to grab a server to get us drinks. We never did find out who our server was! We waited 25 minutes after we finished eating before I went to the manager to get our checks to pay. We just sat the money down and left.

Overall, my experience was not the best. At least I got a good night's rest in that awesome bed!

Friday Night 11/7 Bartender

Everything about the hotel was great except the bartender on Friday night. She was rude, slow and argumentative. She took my card, charged it, then minutes later delivered the drinks to my bar stool. Other than her, the hotel is great. However, I will not book again until it is confirmed that this bartender is no longer employed by Crowne Plaza.

I did not get her name but she was african american and was working at approximately 10:45pm Friday night (11/7).
