Terrible night time staffing - great daytime staffing

By

Really lost its way in the evenings during the last 12 months!

Do not have any issues in the evening or night time tha require reception - they don't answer and concierge service at night seems to be running around guest rooms.

A great Pity as this hotel used to be a beacon of service and great staff for a Hotel in Birmingham. It still has excellent service and staff in the day but appears to have tried to reduce staff numbers and quality (costs?) at night.

Fantastic hotel.

By

Our second stay and was impressed with our first one last year.

The staff and room were excellent. Didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the food.

Location was very good just minutes by foot to Broad Street, shopping and railway stations.

The only gripe was parking. We drove and thought parking was at the front but it is accessed underneath by the side of the hotel. It is a public car park but was in a terrible state, dated and narrow. We paid on checking out, so hold onto your ticket! This unused parking area at the front is a bit of an eyesore to be honest.

Watch out for the stupid double red lines in what looks a reasonable parking/waiting area off road by the hotel. Most probably a council idea.

Overall, a terrific hotel.
