politeness and helpfulness of staff outstanding

Great location of hotel if visiting airport/genting arena or nec. Clean comfy guest rooms. If eating in hotel then I recommend use of the restaurant as the standard of food was FANTASTIC. Breakfast choice was very good but the cooked breakfast could of done with being warmer. The sandwiches on the 24hr room menu were unattractive and of poor value so stick to the restaurant if possible. However, seeing as that was the only fault it was by far exceeded by the VERY polite and helpful staff who all went out of there way to make sure our stay was a pleasant one

I stay various times at the NEC Crowne Plaza on business and find it to be a clean, tidy and comfortable hotel. Staff are really friendly, especially in the bar area, although the checking in experience on my last two stop-overs has been slightly tainted by an abrupt and slightly rude employee! Rooms are very comfortable and on most occasions, extremely clean. Sleep quality has been disturbed on the odd occasion with a noisy fridge and some external noise (from the construction of new complex opposite hotel I believe). I have only eaten in the bar area and find the food to be delicious (esp the super-food salad...) with a pleasant atmosphere. As mentioned previously staff in this area are extremely friendly and polite and cannot seem to do enough for you. All in all, a great hotel that I'm sure I will stay at again.

Internet issues

Good points:
- Hotel and room as we would expect from CP, nice fixtures, some freebies, efficient staff (exception see below).

But.......
- The hotel is sorta crowded out by new NEC construction, so feels claustrophobic. The lobby and bar are business-functional ie forgettable.
- Biggest issue was inability to get internet. Connected to the system but no action. Nothing wrong with my tablet. I suppose it may not be hotels fault BUT
1. The downstairs internet access stations were dog-slow. Almost unusable.
2. I called the switchboard and the person gave me the PW for the 'lounge' option (which also did not work) but made no further attempt to help like. " if that does not work let me know and see if we can resolve this". Web access is second only to the bed in importance.
