Disappointed at the Brussels Airport Crown

I was disappointed in the overall quality of the this hotel. I stayed there because I had an early flight and they have a shuttle. When I checked into the hotel I was told that the shuttle starts at 6AM and since my flight was at 6AM I had to use a taxi. That should have been noted on the web site. Next upon checking in, even though I am Platimum, I could not go to the executive lounge without a fee. I currently have another future reservation but I will cancel it.

Our hotel has seen recent changes such as an upgrading of the Executive Floor and Sky Lounge to provide exclusive items to our guests staying on the 6th floor. With this, we have seen a drastic uplift of bookings of the 6th floor hence these rooms are less available for exceptional complimentary upgrades. To assure a room or access to the Sky Lounge, it is best to make a reservation for that specific room allowing you to take advantage of the 6th floor facilities. On checking with our Front Office Team, we are able to assign you a room on the dedicated IHG Rewards floor with complimentary internet as part of the benefits of our loyalty program. And information about shuttle Bus Service its clearly mention in our Crowne Plaza Brussels airport site under the driving Directions: “Shuttle Bus Service Crowne Plaza Brussels Airport: from Monday to Friday: every 20 mins between 6.00 AM and 10.40 PM. At Brussels Airport you can find the shuttle bus at level 0 (one level down from arrivals deck) Departure stop is located on Block E. During weekdays, no reservations are required. During weekends (SAT-SUN) and Belgian bank holidays, the hotel provides taxi service on check in and check out day only. For this service, please contact the reception at 0032 2416 33 33. Once you have contacted the hotel, please wait for your driver at the "Relay Shop" on the arrivals deck. LOVED our stay at this hotel

This hotel was an excellent choice for us and we left feeling just as satisfied as when we arrived. The staff was extremely helpful to us and perfect English spoken. We loved the grounds of the hotel as we usually don't get to walk around outside at airport hotels. There was a path right outside to enjoy the grounds along with the lovely swans. And convenient to even walk around the neighborhood and feel completely safe. When we needed info as to driving into the city of Brussels (and for our first time) we were given adequate info and suggestions as to what to see and do and how to get there. And above all, the rate in which we got this hotel for was amazing for all we received back.
