Hotel lovely but bed not

We had a club room for 3 nights, most uncomfortable hard bed ever. The stay was for a break that we do not get very often. We were hoping to come away refreshed!- sadly not.
The second night of our stay were unable to use club lounge as it was full!
Only received our complimentary newspapers on the first morning!?

Receptionist very unfriendly and patronising when we asked about parking, the hotel and room very dated,and worst of all baking hot, it was hard to actually breath it was so not-in November! Air conditioning next to useless. Even when it was on the big old pipes in the room were full on hot water throwing out heat. Bathroom felt grubby.
Wasn't recognised as a platinum elite customer, nor given an upgrade or explanation. Receptionist knew I was because when I asked for the checking out time she said as I'm platinum I could request a later one - which would be considered!
I stay in a Central London Crowne plazas for less money, this hotel definitely not worth the money.

I stayed here with my partner at the beginning of November for her graduation.

Checkin was fast and straight forward and I was offered either points or drinks and a snack for being a Platinum member.

Rooms in great condition and provided us with a comfortable nights sleep.

Club lounge adequately stocked up with soft drinks and beers and the canapés were of a high quality.

Bar area provides a great atmosphere for an evening drink, the prices are reasonable. The restaurant serves good quality food.

The pool and spa area were quiet when I visited and I was able to use all of the facilities.

All staff provided excellent customer service during our stay.
