Fabulous hotel

Wish we had arrived during daylight hours to appreciate the grounds and surrounding area. The hotel is great, though off the beaten track. We got lost trying to find the hotel at night. Would definitely like to come back to this place again when we have more time to do the walks.

Be careful as you head up the long drive through the park- there are 2 hotels on this site- watch out for the turn into the Crown Plaza entrance.
Car park is a short walk from the main entrance- drop your bags off at the door if its raining before parking.
The hotel seems to be on many split levels and you can go down a staircase and still find your self on the ground floor. If you can get one of the rooms with the private terraces, it nice to have your morning coffee outside watching the squirrels playing under the trees. This is a very tranquil hotel. Didn't hear a sound at night, except a couple of owls.

We have had better stays and much better breakfasts at HI and HI Express hotels. We expected better at a Crown Plaza.
