There are so many Hotels to choose from when going to DIsneyland. Knowing that we would be exhausted and spending a fortune to get into the park, my main concerns were price and comfort. Unfortunately I was disappointed. First, the beds were not the greatest. But even more uncomfortable were the sheets and pillows, Very scratchy, and pillows were not very soft. Slept decent only because curtains kept room nice and dark, which was a blessing. As for the price, I think similar locations include at least a continental breakfast with price of room. We did have a fridge in our room, a microwave would have been helpful, but the price of breakfast was way too much for us to pay. I think I will look for someplace that includes breakfast the next time we visit.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Smilinb Quiet Hotel, Great Shuttle Service
Enjoyed our stay at this location, for two key reasons, there was great Shuttle service to Disney Parks and the rooms were quiet. However, they charge a daily resort fee, and it's really not a "resort". Also there was no complimentary breakfast, and for that expensive of a stay, it would be a nice added element. They did provide Free Wi-Fi and Parking was included as part of the resort fee.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 9CCM Superb staff and location! Easy access to Disneyland
On checking in, the front desk staff was extremely accommodating and upgraded our room. They even went the extra mile and placed our family friends in the adjoining room without us asking when they realized we were checking in together.
Picking the Crowne Plaza was a great idea and made our stay at Disneyland extremely enjoyable. Super shuttle service too!!

I started my stay on a Friday evening. I was booked in a room close to the elevator. The first night, after being jet lagged and exhausted, I found it hard to sleep because of all of the middle and high school kids running up and down the halls screaming. Since I was close to the elevator and the floors were marble or tile, the echo and noise level was incredible. I also work up to my room being extremely hot because the air conditioner didn't work. At about 11:30 pm, I called the front desk and they did come quiet the kids down and send an engineer to tell me that the air conditioning was out but they would get me a fan. Since the hotel was full, they couldn't switch my room.
The next morning I went to the front desk and talked with a manager who told me they would be happy to move my room away from the elevator in the afternoon after people had checked out. I came back in the afternoon and let them know I was ready to switch. The manager told me the room wouldn't be ready for a while so I went to grab something to eat. When I returned all of my luggage was gone from my room. I was never told they would be taking my luggage or else I would have packed. I returned to the front desk and found out that they had assigned me a new room on the other hall but still next to the elevator. After talking with several managers, everything was straightened out and they offered me $50 off one night which seemed fairly unacceptable to me since I had spent a night in Southern California in a loud, hot, unairconditioned room. I was told the general manager would call me, and that never happened either. They are just bad with follow up.
In addition, the restaurant/bar was terribly staffed. The few times I went there, other customers and I waited more than 15 minutes before someone finally wandered into the kitchen to find a staff member to help us. It was completely unacceptable.
The hotel is up to date (with the exception of WiFi in the guest rooms) and nice but the staff and service leaves a whole lot to be desired especially at a Crowne Plaza.

We were very dissatisfied with the 1 night visit in the King room. We arrived by car at 4PM (check-in time) to find the hotel arrival entry clogged with two stretch limos, precluding baggage unloading. We were invited to self park behind hotel in a full parking lot. There was no easy access to hotel front without walking around the outside of the hotel with all the luggage. No luggage carts were offered or provided. Once inside the hotel, the check-in was efficient and handled with professionalism. The initial impression of the room was "fair" due to room size, however it did not have sufficient furniture for comfort, ie no couch or comfort chair(s). The room was provisioned for 1 guest in spite of my two guest reservation. The room contained 1 versus two suitcase holders, coffee provision for one guest not two, coffee condiments (creamer) for one guest not two. We departed the room for dinner and returned to find the bathroom locked with no key to unlock the bathroom. Why would anyone install a key lock on the bathroom without providing the guest with the key? In spite of our urgent need to use the bathroom, we waited for the service personnel to respond to our call to unlock the bathroom. Meanwhile, the phone message light was flashing. The instructions on the phone directed the guest to press the red light to retrieve the message. That didn't work. No printed instructions were provided in the room, on the use of the phone messaging system or how to retrieve phone messages. When the service person arrived to unlock the bathroom, they assisted in retrieving messages by dialing "three numbers then three zeros and something else". Asked if that instruction was provided some where in the room and got the "No . . . . why do you ask, response". I was charged a $14 Resort Fee on top of the normal room rate in spite of the sub-par provisions. This was definitely not "Resort" accommodations, but I was billed that way. I got a "Take a Moment" - Valued Priority Club member letter from the General Manager on check in, but I did not receive a printed or electronic invitation to provide feedback on my stay. I probably would have used the more discrete method, if offered, rather than providing my guest experience in this venue. I was extremely surprised and dissatisfied with my guest experience. I decided to stay at another location for my second weekend night. This is my first negative feedback for the IHG hotels I have stayed at. I suggest corrective action and priority club reward adjustment.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza during our vacation and were treated like royalty. The staff could not have been more friendly and efficient. Everyone at the Front Desk, the restaurant, and even the housekeepers, always had a smile for us and genuinely wanted to make sure we were happy. We will not stay anywhere else whenever we return to visit.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for six nights. Our room was great, very comfortable, get size for the money. It was located in a great location with several dining options. It was across the street for a Target that came in handy. My only gripe would be not having a microwave or refrigerator. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Beds very hard, cleaning room service bad, sheets need some Downey, felt like a hospital. pool freezing, hot tub didn't work, gym equipment not maintained, not all rooms have a mini fridge/safe. ( What a combo) Added more fee's to the bill for a resort fee? With nothing working other then the shuttle, I find that laughable.

great place to stay, food is great, close to downtown disney and the parks. Have to pay the extra fee for being there. Parking is a bit of a hassle as only 1 parking lot for 3 different hotels. Sheets were very starchy, hard ot get comfortable. Having kids that toss and turn at night, made for loud nights because of the sheets. Rooms very clean though.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by SWLW Vacation Stay
The hotel location is very nice, and close to various restaurants and Disneyland. We were disappointed upon our arrival when they had given our suite away. We were told that we had not reserved a suite, upon which time I had to show my confirmation of the room on my phone. John, who was helping us with check-in was very helpful and courteous, but was unable to do anything but give us free valet. It was disappointing, because we needed a larger room because we had the kids staying with us. They ended up giving us a smaller room. We even requested to have two rooms, but due to the hotel being "booked' we were unable to get a second room. I do not know how they could have give our "reserved suite" away. We were very uncomfortable for our entire stay due to having this smaller room, and it made for a disappointing vacation. The staff was very helpful and kind, but the fact they were unable to give us the room we reserved was very, very disappointing. As a result we will never stay at this Crowne Plaza.

During Spring Break (2013) my family and I came to CA to visit Disneyland for a few days. We selected this hotel based on proximity to the theme park, value, and the fact that the rooms had the option of getting bunk beds. My wife and I found staying at this hotel to be very convenient (shuttle to the theme park) and felt that there was great value for our money (we were given a $50 gift card to Disney for each night's stay). Our kids loved those bunk beds. This was not the most expensive hotel we stayed at on our trip but it is the hotel that our kids keep raving about. We would definitely stay here again and will definitely recommend it to both family and friends.

All in all the our stay was a good one. Need more or bigger shuttle. Either was too full to take us at park closing or opening or way over capacitiy.
Cafe was awful.. very slow service when only 3 tables had dinners. Food took 40 minutes to come out and was cold. Then another 30 minutes to get a check???

Plus the water was off for several hours on one day, unacceptable!

I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza Garden Grove many time.
I love this property. It is beautiful, well kept up and the pool area is wonderfully tropic!
I was pleased to see that they had reinstated a few perks for their
Priority Club members, as customer loyalty can be bought!
The resort fee covers their own bus, which is a great deal for a family...and you don't have to use the ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) which has been a nightmare everytime I have used it. So, for that reason...the resort fee is great. It is a little steep if you are travelling alone.

The room was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and courteous. The fitness center equipment was current, clean, and in very good condition. The property was well-maintained and was nice looking.
Really, the only complaint I have is with the internet access. If you need a good internet connection, you should plan to bring one with you or find a local hotspot. The staff said that they're aware of the issue, and are working on it, but if you need a good internet connection to get work done, I'd recommend calling the property to see if they've gotten the issue resolved.

My husband is a Platinum Elite Priority Member & this was our 2nd stay @ The Crowne Plaza as a family and everything was awesome! Everyone from check in, cleaning staff, valet & people in the restaurant were very friendly & helpful! Our purpose was to be as close as possible to DLR for Annual Passholder Early Entry weekend even though we live about 20 minutes from the parks! Family is to hard to get going so early so this is the next best place to be! We even had time for breakfast by 10am and took a break between time back into the parks! No drama or hassles! I don't know how long this staff has been around but I use to hold scrapbook functions in their smaller rooms & the service back then was just as great as it is today! We hope this great service continues! Thank you Crowne Plaza!! I will highly recommend to all who asked! We shall soon return!

When I checked in I asked to reduce my 4 day stay to 3 but the Penny night manager could not autorize this and I had to talk to Brenda the day manager. I had to work the trade show and be there LONG before Brenda arrive for work. Penny said no when I saw her. In my room, the TV didn't work so they sent engineering and they couldn't work it either. They said they would get me a new TV and I said you can wait until tomorrow. No TV the next day and I wanted to watch my college b ball game. No chance. They hussle a TV up to me by half time which was very nice. I go to check out early and the regular attendent gave me credit for only staying a half day. I would have checked out a full day if I was permitted by the manager. I hope this doesn't get the person who did what was fair in trouble. I was moving to another Crowne Plaze by the airport because the flight was 7am and LA traffic is tough in the morning. The rest of the staff in the dining room was very nice.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by tbone12 Horrible Hotel, find another place to stay.
The room was terrible. There was a knob missing off of the bed side table, the television did work, all the furniture was old and chip and the carpet look dirty. I was told this was one of the newly refurbished rooms. This is hard to believe. The television didn't work. It was so bad the hotel did charge me the resort fee
The food was horrible also for both room service and in the restaurant. I ordered a hamburger one night thinking they couldn't possible mess up a hamburger and yes they did. It was an old, dried patty with no seasoning.
The only positive was the staff that was all very friendly and tried to make things better. I feel sorry for them working in such a substandard Crowne plaza.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cacardy Nice hotel, internet issues
I have stayed at this hotel approx 5 times and find it suits our needs as far as comfort and cleanliness. There are several good restaurants right in the parking lot. We have eaten dinner in the hotel on every one of our stays and the food has always been good. The restaurant has never been overcrowded either. We were in the area for a business trip and the location was just a short distance from the Anaheim Convention Center. There is a huge Target across the street should you find the need. My only complaint was that the wireless internet was horrible. Since we were out all day on business, I chose not to call and complain and just muddled through finishing up my evening work......very slowly. I did mention it to the front desk upon check out, but was not compensated in anyway. I did not have the need for valet parking or the pool so I can't comment on those items.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JohnH1966 a little disappointed
I am a long time Crown Plaza fan and assumed this one would hold to the high standard that I have grown to expect with this chain but I was left very disappointed with this particular hotel. Room was subpar, leaking shower (water dripped and ran 24/7), housekeeping was sporadic at best. Every day the cleaning was different. Sometimes we got clean robes, other days no robes at all and the same with complimentary water and refills of Voss water.

We checked into our hotel - and found that the "Executive Suite" we'd booked on the "Executive floor" was nothing more than a typical hotel room. Which was fine, since the price at the time seemed reasonable. However, when we looked a bit closer, we discovered that they hadn't cleaned our tub (it had dirt and red gross things on the bottom), and their were stains and streaks on the bedroom ceiling.
We called the front desk twice, and went down there once and asked them to clean it. Each time they apologized profusely , and promised to fix it, however, they never came to clean it.
Costs: There was an exhorbitant resort charge, which would have been fine, except that they weren't a resort - but rather a typical large hotel charging an overly exhorbitant resort fee for having the "luxury" of a pool and workout room. Don't all Cronwe Plazas have these? They also had an added fee for tourism that they called a tax, and a fee for parking, and I think an energy fee. By the time everything was said and done, the cost of the room had increased about a third from where we'd started - for a dirty dirty room no less.
Oh, and did I mention the television didn't work. I would strongly suggest any other hotel - except this one.
