Este es uno de los peores hoteles que he visitado, y el peor de la cadena IHG.
El internet no funciona, el A/C tampoco y el personal parece despreocupado por la comodidad de los huespedes.

El Hotel necesita con urgencia una remodelacion las habitacion son muy viejas y el ruido exterior no permite un buen descanzo.
El servicio de internet es pesimo, y el desayuno aunque es variado algunas aereas de las comidas estan descuidas me encontre con moscas muertas sobre la comida o posadas sobre la comida.

Este hotel no está a la altura del resto de hoteles de la cadena Crowne Plaza. Necesita una renovación profunda para adquirir mayor categoría, empezando por aislar del terrible ruido que entra desde el exterior.

No internet. Stayed in room 501. Tried for 2 hours to connect to internet but was impossible. Reported problem and staff did nothing to solve it. Considering not staying there again and going to another hotel for that issue.

Habia dejado de alojarme en este hotel por el pesimo servicio de internet. Bueno mas bien inexistente ya que durante los tres dian no tuve acceso a internet. Es inaceptable que un hotel orientado a viajeros de negocios no pueda dar servicio de internet Ademas mi habitacion NO TENIA LAMPARA DE MESA EN EL ESCRITORIO (Como esperan que trabaje en la habittacion) La habitacion solo tenia tres tomacorrientes todos ocupados por la lampara de pie, la refrigeradora y la cafeteria y no tuve donde conectar los cargadores de la laptop ni el cel. Realmente una experiencia muy decepcionante

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The food in the dining room was excellent. The waiters were the most friendly and helpful.
Also a piano player played a couple of times. The very best!!
The rooms are nice and very clean.
Underground parking very well kept and staffed

The staff and service is quite good, however the rooms are very old, and you will find weird doors, a very noisy and bad quality AC which makes hard to sleep, besides that the internet connection is really bad, bad enough even to chat, believe me, don't think to make a voice call thru Skype nor facetime, an never a video one.
TVs are old, the big old ones, no flat screens, and channel reception is poor, additionally you won't find connectors for your laptop, and gadgets, just one free power outlet close to the fridge, and another one close to the bed, i had to disconnect the radio/clock to release another power outlet for my stuff, the desk chair is really uncomfortable so don't think to work from the hotel, bottom line, find another hotel, if you use to travel around central america and you have stayed at Crowne Plaza El Salvador please be warned its really different, the El Salvador ones is quite good.

This was my poorest experience with IHG Hotels. The quality of the furnishings - especially towels and swimming pool mattresses is unacceptable. They are worn, rotten and certainly not up to the standard of a 4 star Hotel. Furthermore the benefits for the Gold Elite membership - a bottle of water, only on request, was very disappointing.
The only positive experience was the food in the restaurant.

I've been a regular customer of this hotel for about 12 years, and have seen it change ownership/brand name several times, and continue going there as most of the staff is the same friendly staff I met during my first visits. What has set this hotel apart, from the beginning, has been the friendliness and warmth of their staff. I remember that on my second trip, they already knew me by name, which I was quite amazed at. Today, 12 years later, I am still made to feel like part of the 'Crowne Plaza family' and it is indeed my 2nd home. The personal service is what I most enjoy and I've found the hotel to be very responsive to my needs, whether it be something else I need in my room, an airport pick-up, or something I fancy to eat but is not on the menu. What distinguishes their service is that they always have a friendly smile and are always willing to go above and beyond. I have found no other hotel that pampers me as much as I'm pampered when I'm at the Crowne, which is why I call it, more than my 2nd home, my home away from home. Thank you all for everything and it is always great to return.

HAD A RESERVATION FOR ONE NIGHT, HAD REQUESTED TWO DOUBLE BEDS WITH A CONFIRMATION IN HAND DIRECTLY FROM CROWN PLAZA'S WEBSITE.. ARRIVED AT HOTEL TRIED TO CHECK IN, THEN THE PERSON THAT WAS CHECKING ME IN (MALE) HANDED ME THE CONTRACT AND SAID SIGN IT.. I SAID OK AND SIGNED IT, BUT AT THE SAME TIME HE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH SOMEONE AND I OVERHEARD HIM SAYING "HOLD FOR ME ROOM SO AND SO THE ONE WITH A SINGLE BED AND A SOFA" THATS WHEN I SAID TO HIM.. IS THAT FOR ME?? HE SAYS YES, I SAID THATS NOT WHAT MY RESERVATION IS FOR, HE SAYS THATS ALL I HAVE AND THATS ALL I CAN OFFER YOU AND HAVE NO OTHER ROOM AVAILABLE, I SAID NO THAT, THAT IS NOT WHAT I HAD RESERVED AND I SAID AGAIN I HAVE A CONFIRMATION FOR TWO DBL BEDS AND HE BASICALLY SAID HE DIDN'T CARE WHAT MY RESERVATION SAID BECAUSE I HAD DONE MY RESERVATION THROUGH A THIRD PARTY AND THAT THEIR SYSTEM DIDN'T SHOW OR GUARANTY THAT AND THAT CROWN PLAZA WAS JUST AN INTERMEDIARY .. THATS WHEN I GOT A LITTLE OFFENDED AND SAID TO HIM THAT I HAD NOT USED A THIRD PARTY TO BOOK MY RESERVATION, HE SAID HE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME AND THATS WHEN I CONFRONTED HIM WITH MY EMAIL CONFIRMATION COMING DIRECTLY FROM CROWN PLAZA'S WEBSITE.. OBVIOUSLY HE DIDN'T LIKE THAT I HAD PROVE HIM WRONG...BY THEN I HAD ALREADY ASKED HIM FOR A MANAGER AND HE SAID THERE WAS NO MGR AVAILABLE AT THE HOTEL.. THEN HE PRODUCED A TWO DBL BED ROOM FOR ME... ASKED ME IF I NEED IT TWO OR FOUR KEYS I SAID TWO.. HE SAID OK, RIGHT BEFORE HE HANDED ME THE KEYS HE SAID WELL LET ME TELL YOU THAT FOUR PEOPLE ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE ROOM, THE REASON HE SAID THAT IS BECAUSE MY TWO ADULT KIDS WERE THERE, BUT THEY WERE STAYING AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL NEXT DOOR, BUT HE ACCUSED ME OF TRYING SNEAK ALL FOUR OF US IN THE SAME ROOM.. I SAID TO HIM IF I WANTED TO DO THAT I WOULD'VE COME IN BY MY SELF TO CHECK IN... AFTER ALL THE ACCUSATIONS AND ARGUMENTS HE SAID I HAD TO GET TWO ROOMS OR PAY A FEE FOR EACH "ADDITIONAL" GUEST, NOW THE QUESTION OF NOT ALLOWING FOUR PEOPLE IN THE ROOM WAS NOT THE ISSUE TO HIM, BUT PAYING IT WOULD BE OK...
WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!

Nos quedamos una noche cerca del fin del año. Algunas cosas me parecieron muy buenas desde el valet parking que te ahorra mucho tiempo, la amabilidad del personal del mostrador y la vista desde el piso ejecutivo. No tengo mucho criterio para decir si me volveria a quedar en este hotel ya que a pesar que por el status me hicieron un upgrade al piso ejecutivo, el dia que me quede el servicio del lounge estaba cerrado supuestamente porque no habian muchos huespedes. Mi esposa queria un facial y un masaje en el afamado SPA pero resulto que la chica se fue temprano por las fechas y no habia nadie para dar ningun tipo de servicio dejando tambien frustado mi intento de relajarme en el sauna. Algo que definitivamente debe ser mejor es el tiempo del roomservice ya que se demoraron mas de una hora en llevarnos una gaseosa y un te. El hotel ha sido remodelado pero realmente los años pasan y hay cosas deben cambiarse tales como la silla de la habitación y el lavamanos. Por tal motivo y dadas las circunstancias considero los 20,000 puntos que me costo la noche quedo muy caro si comparo los 10,000 que me costo la noche siguiente en el Holday Inn sin que existiera una gran diferencia. En general una experiencia promedio que pudo ser mucho mejor.

The doorman was exceptional we had no problems our first night returned for 3 before leaving Guatemala found desk staff not always very friendly or helpful; men are better than women
room was clean and comfortable.Service in restaurant was very good manager visited our table

MI estadía en el Crowne Plaza Guatemala fue excelente. El hotel y su personal me ayudo a alcanzar el éxito en mi viaja a Guatemala. Cómo estuve alojado en la Quiet Zona, pude descansar y concertrarme en mi proposito. La úbicación del hotel es excelente, aunque el exterior del edificio del hotel necesita algo de mantenimiento para mantener un aspecto correcto. Las comodidades de la habitación fueron lo que yo esperaba.

This property is fine for the value and location. The rooms are not spotless and the wi-fi signal is weak and there is not a wired option, but for a short stay you cannot beat the price and location.

Since the moment I went to check in was a disaster.
I did my reservation prior to my check in, the guy at the counter was mean and he pretended my reservation number was not right, after telling him that was the right number and showing my phone with the number he finally "found it".
The reservation was for seven people and three rooms, and there was a price established, The person at the counter changed it all, said that he had the right to change prices whenever he felt like, and the total price was double of what the reservation was.
We were there in Guatemala city a not very safe country, in the middle of the night trying to figure this out, it is not like you walk away and find another hotel.
The guy at the counter said, well, you want the rooms or not? with such an attitude and we had to pay and had to stay in that hotel.
He said my credit card did not go through, which I find interesting, so I had to pay in cash, and they did not have change.
Had to wait until next Monday to have it back, even though I was supposed to get it back the day of our check out.
Very bad experience, I would never recommend this hotel.

Our over all stay was good with the exception that someone from house cleaning took a personal item from our room and no one has contacted me about iit. They said they were going to look into it but I have not heard a word from them. I/ we were very disappointed. The restaurant staff was excellent and the bell boys as well.

Our group of ten wanted to order off the menu which we were told we could do. When we tried to order off the menu the waiter continued to try to pursued our group to eat off the buffet. He began taking our orders but kept referring the buffet and lowering the price. He stopped taking orders and walked away, came back and gave us yet another price for the buffet. During the time when we were ordering we had three different waiters. After all the pressure from the wait staff we had seven people order off the buffet (which we really did not want). When it came time to pay our bills they were all wrong and we were all given different prices for the buffet. After many attempts to fix the issue we just ended up paying the bills. It was a very frustrating experience. We asked to talk with the hotel manager, but they never contacted us. This was the second time we have had troubles with the restaurant and the wait staff. As for the hotel, the rooms are comfortable and clean.

The hotel has an excellent location. The staff is always willing to help you. The bathroom in my room was tiny and I didn't like it. But in general it was a good experience.
