Prague is home to the oldest working clock in the world (and third oldest overall). The Prague Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square dates back to the 1400s and is just one of many historic attractions. Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral are equally as impressive. The former Jewish Quarter, Josefov, is home to architecture dating back to the 13th century.
Prague has more than 60 museums, including the fascinating KGB Museum, the National Technical Museum and the Czech Museum of Music.
The Czech capital’s most popular mall is the Palladium, located right in the centre of Prague. It has 170 shops including High Street brands like C&A and Marks & Spencer. There are also two permanent markets in Prague: Havel’s Market located in the centre and the Prague Market slightly out of town, which is the largest outdoor market in the city.
You can fly direct to Prague from a number of the UK’s biggest cities, including London, Manchester and Liverpool and the Czech capital is also connected to other European cities (including Vienna and Berlin) by rail.
