During check-in authorisation from VISA more that the agreed amount for the booking! Double check from the reception if the client drank more than.....what he declared! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Crown Plaza Standard I have come to expect a certain level of quality with this chain, and am always happy to stay there. The staff was spectacularly helpful. The location is not great as far as convenience, but much of that is alleviated by the availability of the hotel shuttle to Taksim Square. I did feel that the hotel bar was a bit expensive. 23 July 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A picture of the CP Harbiye The absolute most important thing to get right in a hotel, apart from the guest's personal safety, is a good nights sleep. Where a hotel cannot deliver this because its designers ignore proper sound insulation then that hotel is not worth staying at. This is the case with the Crowne Plaza Harbiye. Also it is expected of a brand like Crowne Plaza that the hotel will be in a good part of town. The CP Harbiye is on a poor street that has a concentration of back street car repair shops and thererfore the street has a lot of beat up vehicles parked here, there and everywhere, there are no side walks, there are several poorly maintained properties some of which have been demolished leaving just an open space for rubbish, rubble 17 July 2014

I went to front desk and asked them to change my room. they gave me 7 th floor and room was nicer and had everything in it even bowl of fruit , cookie , tooth brush, tooth past and a lot more which they were not in the first room. why I have to go throe all this to get what I paid for? I have asked front desk two times to use the phone they almost refused . your house keeper, drivers and the person who gave info for the tourist and places were very nice. your breakfast bar was not too great, 11 July 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service, noisy rooms The hotel has two main problems: noisy rooms and poor service/staff. About low level of protection from street noise - it's hard to sleep when you have garbage collection car coming at 1am, and nearby mosque operational already at 5am. I´ve stayed in this hotel several times because of the location, and I´m not very pleased with the personnel at the reception. Sometimes they forget to include your IHG card, frequently lose emails with payment guarantees, and last time when I arrived at midnight, they messed up with rooms and it took them 1 hours just to bring additional bed sheets for my kid. Nothing comparing to Crown Plaza hotels in other countries. 03 July 2014

Well serviced Club Lounge with good selection of snacks, food and drinks. Having visited Istanbul solely for business I found that the hotel fully supported all of my requirements, easy to relax in and loved the look of the health club but didn't have the time to use it unfortunately. 20 June 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VERY POOR HOTEL I travel all the time and am loyal to this group of hotels. This was one of my really worst stays. Staff are very poorly trained. They are unwelcoming and even quite unfriendly. The check in and check out time is far too long as insufficient staff and computer system is so so slow. Room was good standard. Common amenities are sad and noisy and often crowded (line to get to breakfast). Telephones in the room do not work. Impossible to get anyone in hotel other than room service. At end of stay was told I was supposed to do 88 for all services, but no one told me this at reception and nothing said about this in the room. Laundry given early morning was not returned same day. Big fuss to get it the following morning before check out. The lounge is sub standard for what it serves and one staff member was so tired and inattentive. Also virtually no English knowledge. Very poor experience. 16 April 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Stay This is one of the best Crown Plazas I have ever stayed in. Staff id unbelievably friendly, and attentive to guests needs. The concierge have a great knowledge of the area and what a traveler might need, which was a plus. never needed to use anymore guidance. My kids loved the stay, and are actually insisting on going back there again soon. If I ever travel to Istanbul again, this is the only place I will stay in. 02 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Wonderful staff From the front door to the restaurant all staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful. Location is near many must see sites in Istanbul . This is a city full of hills and narrow streets many with limited sidewalks making getting around on foot apart of the experience. 27 March 2014
