Thought-provoking art and sculptures together with a museum and archives can be found at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial/museum. It is only a 10 minute drive away. See the circular Hall of Names, where 600 faces poignantly paper the high coned ceiling.
Climb Mount Temple to the ancient Dome of the Rock, ablazed with gold and brilliantly-coloured tiles, 45 minutes' walk away. Below the octagonal mosque you can join the Throne of Pious worshippers and place a prayer in a crack of the Wailing Wall.
Among the new galleries and public spaces at The Israel Museum, be sure to visit the sculpture garden and The Shrine of the Book wing. Here, the priceless Dead Sea Scrolls rest inside a giant onion-shaped structure, minutes from Crowne Plaza Jerusalem.
Don't Go Home Without
