Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor WiFi connectivity I stayed in this hotel for more than three consecutive months and I have to complain about a lack of WiFi connectivity despite what is stated. The service provided is really very poorly used, wholly unsatisfactory and inefficient for business people like me. I expected more from this hotel but this experience has been very disappointing so far. 24 June 2014

I asked for a quiet room and was allocated an excellent room at the opposite end of the building to the function - much appreciated! Checkout at 7.30 am the morning was cheerful and efficient. 23 June 2014

The staff were incompetent and I had to question the hotel receptionist a number of times on inaccurate billing and wrong information. The rooms are nice, once you finally find it as the sings for the rooms are a bit confusing. I do love the decor in the hotel which is in keeping with the age of the building and its previous history. the location is great as its close enough to the airport, but not too close so that you have the noice of aircraft all day/night. there is a great retail park close by too for shopping. Overall very poor value for money and I doubt very much if I wills tay there again. 23 June 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fantastic upgrade we made a last minute decision to stay the night in Liverpool and decided to use some of our IHG Reward points. We booked an executive room through the website which was very simple process. on arriving we were upgraded to a suit, which turned out to be the honeymoon suit. My wife and I loved it so much we would have loved to stay another night! We also made use of the Club Lounge for a drink in the evening and a simple breakfast in the morning. Great hotel and a fantastic room. Would stay here again. 13 June 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent enough hotel The hotel is well positioned for my work. The parking could be better explained. the rooms were clean but the aircon system is really difficult to work. There is one particular bar staff person, Jade who is exceptional and remembers customers names and makes them feel so at home. Staff like here are hard to come by and should be looked after. All of the staff, I found, were very personable and welcoming. 07 June 2014

Interesting collection of old aircraft located at rear of hotel of interest to young and old alike. Check in staff helpful if you could understand the accent! Room well presented but noisy from the wedding guests next door (not the hotels fault). Pity they do not provide complementary breakfast in the Exec Lounge on weekends but free drinks in the evening appreciated. 04 June 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay Stayed in this hotel previously and we love it; great history and great old style decore; great if you love the 1850s era. Our view came with old planes which is so unique and adds character. Rooms are a decent size and come equipped with the essentials, as well as lovely extras like trouser press, plenty of refreshments and delicious biscuits. The bed was absolutely gorgeous, very relaxing and good nights sleep! The only negative I would say is that some element are slightly dated, the net curtains needed replacing as they were old and slightly holey, and the shower curtain could do with being glass rather than fabric as it had started to look unhygienic but overall we loved it and will be returning when we are next in liverpool. The staff are very friendly and the location is perfect for anyone who wants the best of city and outskirts. 28 May 2014

The hotel adjacent to the airport convenient for all air travellers but the hotels ambiance remains calm & quite with an open bar, food & leisure activities. The set lay out decoration is appealing to a good standard complemented by the attentive staff. A joy to stay. Will visit again highly recommend. Had dinner in the bar at night and it was excellent and a good price. Breakfast was also excellent. The staff were very good, helpful and friendly. Will definitely return to this hotel. 03 May 2014

The room overlooked the old Speke Airport and I was delighted to see some small planes outside our room window. The room and bed were extremely comfortable and the whole room was exceptionally clean. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal pre flight experience We were delighted with our room and the location of the hotel.It was quiet and easy to locate. We enjoyed a good night's sleep in spite of our early start next morning. Most importantly my husband left his Omega watch under his pillow. The loss was only discovered when we reached the airport. On ringing the hotel - the staff quickly located the watch, retrieved it and kept it safe until we were able to return to collect it. We were very pleased and impressed by their swift actions and integrity. Very much appreciated in this day and age and cannot be praised too highly. 30 April 2014

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good, and all enquiries were met with a smile and no fuss. 22 April 2014
