Having arrived at midnight after a delay of more than one and a half hours on our flight, it was a great relief to have a warm welcome, comfortable bed and excellent facilities waiting for us in this hotel. The staff in the Club Lounge could not have been more helpful and ensured that our day got off to a good start with breakfast and our onward trip also got off to a good start with the taxi service they arranged.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by nighttraveler Good Value, but not so proffesional staff
I Stayed in Crown Plaza Heathrow for 5 days and I frankly like the settings, it offers a good value. I am a priorities member, but I did this reservation through an online vendor. I also had to extend my stay a couple of times. Some of the staff was friendly, but on a few occasions and especially one member I had an experience were the person was very rude, this will make me think twice before going back to that place. Another issue, which I understand that it might beyond the control of the hotel management, is the Hoppa bus service. The service is not that reliable, I had a few instances were the bus scheduled never showed up and at other instances it took way too long to get to the terminal (they combine services).

The service should be provided free of charge. The imposed charges are rather too much.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by YorkshireRoadwarrior Nice beds no wifi perks
Generally nice hotel with helpful staff. Nice beds and good sleep but Parking spaces are tighter than tescos and unlike other hotels who recognise platinum members of their loyalty programme with at least an hours complimentary internet this property hasnt kept pace with the rest.
Food is good and very close to M4 junction so on balance priced keenly can overlook those grumbles and still the one of the best of a bad bunch at heathrow.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by aazgs Comfortable bed, plenty of room, a couple of suggestions...
Thank you for making my stay pleasurable. I enjoyed your hospitality and service, though I have a couple of suggestions.
1. The bed is very comfortable but the absence of a thicker quilt makes it somewhat chilly if heating is not turned up full. Perhaps having a thinker quilt (or an additional blanket in the closet) would help
2. I had to ring reception a few times as there were sometimes significant delays in getting an answer from room service and other. I appreciate you were very busy of course but...
3. Finally, a very simple request: could you please have some writing paper and pen in the room? I've always found a small notepad and pen but this time, maybe just accidentally of course, there was none.
Other than the points above, it was an excellent stay as always and I will be returning to the Crowne Plaza very soon in fact.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave2012 Our Favorite Heathrow Airport Hotel
Expensive during the week but your weekend internet prices are a fantastic value. Our 2nd stay here (previous was in 2005). Great cleaning services supervisors and staff, and my wife and I can't say enough about your great gym, pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Your employees are always super friendly and efficient. From 1975 to 1999, complements of my employer, I stayed at several hundred 4 and 5 star hotels throughout the world, and I rate Crowne Plaza Heathrow in the top 10. Also, the breakfast buffet is tops. Please extend our thanks to your staff for making our visit a totally positive experience. We WILL return!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CCatto Great pool and Executive Loange
Pool is great for children and they can use till 8pm. Family freindly. It is a big airport hotel so not very personal, but the staff were always polite and professional, if a bit busy and lacking experience at times - so what I would expect from a 4 star. bUt for Platinum members you get on the 4th floor next to the Exec Lounge which is excellent - bar and nibbles all day - friendly and helpful staff and business facilitiies. Makes all the difference for those of us who spend too much time in hotels, and great when the family come too (provided your children respect the nature of the exec lounge).
Kids eat free in the main restaurant, but try Dr O'Driscols - nicer atmosphere for the family and you end up spending about the same anyway.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HowardSingapore Comfortable and spacious for access to Heathrow
Big rooms to the Crowne Plaza standard except for the wireless internet, which was an additional charge, but the signal was so weak at most times it was unusable and this was for most of my stay. If I had the time, I would have demanded a refund of the £16 charge.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by stevit great value for money
What a wonderful find. Our room was huge by comparison to other london hotels we had just come from. With two large double beds, a workable desk and two chair seating area th room was still spacious enough for our morning yoga.
The bath accomodated two of us nicely (saving water of course), the towels crisp and white and products a plenty.
The housekeper was a delight, so generous with the water, decaff coffee and busciuts. The receptionsists friendly and eficient (a rare combination it seems nowadays). **There is no awkwardness around asking for spare toothbrush/paste or shaving gel which they keep behind the desk.
Then theres the restaurant: We had a Dinner B&B package and so were offered a 'special' menu. It was absolutely perfect for me with my food allegies. The chef actually advised what was ok for me, and in fact offered an alternative veg. Also they were flexible in that the second nights menu was not really suitable for me, and soi was offered the a la carte menu - AT NO EXTRA COST!. Breakfast was a challenge - because there was so much to choose from. Even freshly made scotch pancakes and maple syrup.
The morning Chefs were bright and breezy, very welcoming, the evenin one not so. Service was a little slow in the evening, tho i was impressed that our initial waitress had communicated my food allergies to other staff.
Whilst the pool was perfect in size and temperature, the jaccuzi was a little scummy (probably due to all the kids in there as it was half term week). The steam room was OK, but just OK (that said how can one make a steam room more than oK)
Check out was really easy, and the transfer bus to the airpot ran regualrly (£4.50).
Al in all a very pleasant stay, which i extended from 1 night to 2 because i was so impressed.

We stayed at the Heathrow CP ahead of an early morning flight from Heathrow.
Check in, staff and room were as expected for a CP hotel i.e. efficient, helpful and comfortable.
Only dissappointment was the Indian restuarant, which is inside the hotel but not run by the hotel. It's the only time that anyone has ever argued with me that a table that clearly wasn't clean, and we asked to be wiped, was clean. Having been ignored for 5 minutes after sitting down, we decided that was enough and we left. We have eaten there in the past and the food was expensive but very tasty.
We settled for a curry from the bar menu instead.
Very convenient location ahead of a flight from Heathrow.

Lovely hotel very comfortable room and fantastic staff.
Food in the hotel was excellent and the children were very well looked after.
It also had the benefit of great leisure facilities and the pool was a welcome addition after a long day!
I am looking forward to our next stay!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TinoBest Best IHG hotel around Heathrow
Stopped here for one night prior to an early flight from Heathrow. Took advantage of a park and ride offer.
First time at this LHR IHG hotel and will not be my last.
I often stop over the night before (at least 8 times in past couple of years) a flight from LHR to avoid a panic 3 hour drive from my home the morning of the flight.
This hotel was great and got my vacation off to a perfect start. Arrived early evening and check-in was very quick; I sadly forget the lady who checked me in but she was very friendly and helpful. My Platinum status was noted with me getting an upgrade to a club room - which was massive! Also access to the lounge so had time for a few glasses of wine.
Car was parked on-site in their huge car park so no need to hand keys over, which was a real bonus.
We eat at the hotel bar (the Irish bar sounded like fun but was full) and again the food was the price you'd expect to pay, but the quality was better than expected. Breakfast was also very good, decent selection and the eggs to order were nice. Did get a bit crowed, but can't complain as never had to wait too long for anything and it was peak time.
As others have said, shuttle bus take a while to arrive, so took a cab to T3 - not very green. Cost was 11 pounds, so only a couple more for the two of us on the bus.
When I next take an early flight from LHR this hotel will be my only choice

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Katie0202 Best Hotel we used in the UK
I have just been back to the UK for 5 weeks with my two children who are 3 and 7. We stayed in many hotels including another Heathrow hotel and the Crowne Plaza was OUTSTANDING. The hotel was clean, fresh and bright, great TV for the kids, wonderful pool, room service and food. The best thing were the staff, who were very helpful, kind to the kids and helped at every turn. My son said it all "Now this is a hotel Mum" ! Bless him.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MJH1948 Great hotel for a quick stopover between flights
Stayed here last week and was given exactly the room I requested at the end of the corridor and also had lounge access. The lounge access makes the value great as the drinks and snacks are good and there is free WiFi. Same in the morning for breakfast. Shame UK hotels are about the last in the world to charge crazy prices for WiFi...... so this hotel with club access is a win-win.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by KCBenz Nice Hotel but I had difficulties
I've stayed at the Crowne two times in the past six months and have enjoyed my stay both times. It is perfectly located by the airport, has a nice gym and pool, good restaurants and friendly staff. The rooms could use a little update but they were still very clean and accommodating. I also love their breakfast buffet.
The only issue I had was during check in. I am Platinum status with Priority Awards but both times I had to jump through too many hoops to receive some, not all, of my benefits. I don't know if this hotels system doesn't link with Priority Awards' but both times I gave them my number and told them I was platinum and they told me their system didn't say I was platinum. I don't have my card but I was able to pull up my status on my phone and show them.
After some convincing I finally received the recognition however, I did not get the room on the club floor. It wasn't full either because my coworker who was next in line and doesn't even hold status received a room there. To make things worse, both times I was given a room with two twins instead of a king.
I know I'll be staying at this hotel again in the future because I do like the everything about it that I mentioned in the first paragraph; however, I just hope that after a long flight I can check in with no more issues and go to sleep on my king size bed located down the hall from the club room.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EMEAtraveller A first class airport hotel
I've stayed here more than 60 nights, usually for one night at a time on my way abroad. It's a vibrant place at weekends, with a good choice of eating and an excellent swimming pool and sauna. The Club Lounge is the best I know, with an interesting view out towards the airport. Staff are polite and very friendly.
The only drawback is the lack of a dedicated shuttle - the Hotel Hoppa service can take up to an hour to get you to the hotel if you are unlucky and just miss one - and the airport taxi drivers tend to complain if you are only going to a nearby hotel.

This Crown Plaza was the biggest and best laid out room we stayed in for over 3 weeks in 3 other 5 star hotels. ( Now, if it was just located in the middle of London.) We stayed here to catch an early AM flight to the USA and it worked out great.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sk507 Nice but a bit 70s
Stayed overnight between flights. Perfect location for that. Hoppa-bus to Heathrow every 20 min, fast and convenient. Hotel corridors a bit murky with 70s style colours dark green and brown. Room, big and very bright though, big TV, lots of channels. Cateringwise I only tried the pub on site. Vey nice. Nice full english breakfast in the morning also. Reasonable fast check-in and out. No newspaper for me as Priority Club-member, upgrade to Club Floor Room though. One of the lifts was out of order making waitingtimes for a lift very long. Nice hotel though as most Crowne Plazas.

A good location for business travelers w/close access to Heathrow.
As leisure travelers it was pricey to pay for every amenity we needed. For example, shuttle, internet and parking were considerable extras. Staff and accommodation were excellent. We kept our rental car as restaurant on premise was too pricey.
