Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Nice and clean hotel with comfortable bed and quiet environment! The Crowne Plaze in LAX is really a nice hotel to stay when you need to go to the airport in the other day. The shuttle bus is convenient and the driver is really helpful. Besides, the room is big and clean with a very reasonable price. I will stay there again in the future. 30 May 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel BUT... This was an overall great hotel! Our stay was outstanding. I would go back to stay at this hotel in the future! But unfortunately we booked this hotel for the 'indoor pool' and to come and find out that things had changed and the spa and indoor pool was no longer available. Kids were alilttle disappointed but swam in the heated pool outside, even thogh it was cooler outside. The website and book in the room should be revised to correct that to prevent any other false advertisments. Thats all. Thank you. 29 May 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Dinining The service at the front desk was outstanding and they did a great job of checking us in and followed up with a phone call to the room. I was so impressed I joined the club that night. Our experience at the restaurant in your hotel was the worst I EVER had and I am a frequent traveller. We started with calamari and it was fried to a crisp. I mean fried solid. Pointed this out to the waiter who said, “yes. I see, sorry”. My wife ordered a salad and the forgot to dress the salad. I ordered a salad with chicken and I pointed out to our waiter small chicken bones that were not removed from the chicken. He said I see them let me talk with the chef, after talking with the chef our waiters reply was, our chef is having a bad night. He brought me a beer and said this is free from me to make it up to you. I was drinking a mild beer and her brought me an IPA as you know is harsh. I pointed out that the beer he brought was different and he said, yes. The staff was not even able to get the beer right on my order. You have a great hotel with a poor restaurant, with no idea how to treat a dissatisfied customer, a bad combination for a successful business model. There are many other hotels in the area to choose from. I have not responded earlier because I left from LA on the 11th and have been travelling overseas. 29 May 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid the restaurant if you fancy a steak for dinner Couldn't fault the comfort and cleanliness of the room or the staff who cleaned the room, however our experience of the food and service in the restaurant was extremely poor. My husband had to return his steak as it was salty tough and the worst steak he had ever tasted. The staff were not interested at all and left the plate of food just sitting on our table for at least 45 mins. The Manager made no attempt to make contact with us and no apology for the poor food was made to us. I mentioned our disappointing experience to the reception who did say they would pass my comments on......... 28 May 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another great stay We overnighted here after flying in from Auckland with Air NZ. An easy walk down the road (Air NZ uses terminal 2, about 10-15 mins walk) we arrived at the hotel. (There is a free shuttle, but we like to walk after 12 hours on a plane!). As per our last visit (Oct last year), as Platinum members we received an upgrade to the top club floor. The club itself was shut as it was a Saturday, but we received drinks vouchers for the bar, and also vouchers for the full breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. We paid a very good rate (booked through the ihg website) and were once again very happy customers. Good prompt shutle service back to the airport the next day too. 27 May 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by my choice for LAX airport hotels I travel in and out of LAX every other month between London and Sydney or Auckland. I now make this my first choice in hotels while in LAX. The staff is helpful plus this hotel has a couple of perks other hotels don't: a quiet floor and self serve laundry. Granted I'm not traveling half way around the world to sleep and do laundry, but this option is helpful when you really need quiet or need to wash a few items and don't have dry cleaning. Being a platinum member often means breakfast in the executive lounge. Food is fresh, coffee still needs some work though. Thank goodness there is an excellent coffee bar in the hotel. During the time we stayed there, the staff were always willing to help. The hotel is disabled friendly and there are a variety of things to do around the complex. We would defineitely recommend your facilities - whether it be for business or pleasure, it is a great place to stay. 25 May 2014

I live in Southern California and had to bring my guest to LAX the day before I flew,out so elected to stay the night. Nice property right next to LAX. Able to check in early which was nice. Room was nice but best part was the availability to plug in my many electronics. For dinner, got a pizza from downstairs and was surprised as to how well it tasted. Sleep quality for me was very good. I like nice soft beds. Yes, you can hear airplane noise, but,it should be expected as to how close,to LAX the property is. If had the opportunity I would stay here again. Regarding the value which I feeling is that everything is overpriced in Southern California and I should know for,I live here. 24 May 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very bad parking experiences during this stay Upon arriving, the only parking available in the garage was on the 6th level. Apparently the elevators have serious issues and it was not working when I arrived. I had to lug my backpacks and suitcase down 6 flights of stairs to reach the bottom and then cross the street to get to the front of the hotel to check-in. I told the front desk clerk about the elevators not working but he was quick to pass blame to the parking garage company instead of reporting it to them. I had to tell him that it would be good to notify the company and that all guests park there, it's very inconvenient. When I went out later to get dinner, I didn't have my little piece of paper for the parking attendant so I had to run all the way back to my hotel room to get it. You would think the parking attendant and the hotel would have a system showing who is a guest and who is not.. Then, when checking out, the elevators were down "again" and I had to walk up through the garage, this time to the 4th floor, to get to my car. Needless to say, hot and out of breath before a big meeting I had. Due to the inconsistent reliability of the parking garage and the Crowne Plaza staff not taking any ownership of the only parking structure they use, I will not be staying here ever again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient and close We had a overnight and needed a hotel with Free Shuttle service and near the airport. Crowne Plaza Airport Delivered. It was just minutes to the Hotel. The checkin and out was quick. Loved the menu and restaurants available for our evening arrival. Wifi worked smooth and quickly as well. We upgraded to the Concierge level and found it too offer a little extra then the regular restaurant and room size. Worth the cash if you budget allows it. 24 May 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable bed and close to airport The beds were the highlight of our stay - very comfortable. A room was ready for us immediately on arrival. The only downside was a meal we had in the hotel restaurant. May have been bad choices on our part, but we didn't enjoy the meal at all. However, we had room service for dinner and the rotisserie chicken was delicious. The shuttle bus service was efficient and drivers were very helpful with our bags. 22 May 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great LAX location, but "free" airport shuttle is "iffy" My favorite place to stay when traveling out of LAX. One note of caution. You get what you pay for; the "free" shuttle bus to the airport should not be counted on if you are time compressed. This service is shared by several properties, and "the Crowne" is not the first stop. Accodtingly, several full shuttles passed by the hotel. After 30 minute wait (6:50 - 7:20) on a Friday morning, I decided to walk the 1.2 miles to the terminal. There were a lot of people waiting outside when I left. It was a nice morning, and I am in good shape, so it wasn't a problem for me with the small roll-aboard suitcase I was traveling with. 20 May 2014

I like how the hotel is centrally located near the airport, rental car drop off, and freeway access. The Market Cafe is very convenient for coffee and pastries, and the Landing Restaurant offers elegant, friendly dining for travelers on the go. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The rooms are always quiet and comfortable. I travel to Los Angeles for work and to visit my daughter who is a student at a university located near downtown. 18 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great experience all the renovation jobs have been done so you can take profit of a brand new hotel with a very kind staff. we have stayed on the 6th floor (romm 615) on the airport side and we have heard any noise from the planes or from the street. the room was very clean and big enough for 3 people with 3 suitcases and 3 cabin ones. the staff is very pro and very nice. we will be happy to return in July. I have noticed that the 15th floor has a special mention for quitness... must be even better ;-) Wifi is free of charge in your room when you are a IHG member 17 May 2014

Overall I'm very pleased with this hotel, my friend and me actually spent ten nights here, but it's usually only people who have to have a place to spend the night to wait for their next flight. We knew we where far from most of the places we wanted to see, but by staying at this hotel we were kind of in the middle of it all. We rented a car two separate days, the parking at the hotel were a little bit expensive, but there are a lot other opportunities that were cheaper nearby, even though the staff said there weren't any. There is a bus that goes just outside the hotel that takes you directly to Manhattan Beach for 5$ roundtrip pr person, we went there one day, and the beach is lovely. The lax transit center is also a five minutes walk away, where you can take the big blue bus to either Venice Beach, or Santa Monica for only 1$, both beautiful places :) So even though the hotel is far away, it's not difficult to get around without spending all your money. The staff was really nice, and fixed our rental car, and someones to pick us ip in the morning. The restaurant was ok, the waiters always forgot little things like cutlery, and seemed new in their job, the food was ok, the best thing I ate was the BBQ chicken pizza, and their Banana Nut bread, do not order the steak sandwich. The room was really nice, the beds were nice, and they cleaned every day. The only negative thing about the room was that they didn't have a refrigerator. The placement of the pool and the sun beds have to be the most illogical placement I have ever seen. It's behind the hotel where the sun never comes, I laid there one day in the afternoon hoping the sun would show up, but when it finally came behind the building next to the hotel, it was so low that a tree blocked it, and there was only a 3 feet area of sunshine. I had to move to another sun bed every tenth minute to get a little sun. You can lay down at the grass outside too, but there is a lot of flies and beetles. We also went to Disney land and Universal, but then we had to make our own arrangements to get there, the hotel offered some rides too, but they where more expensive than those you got from the airport, we had to pay around 100$ for two persons to each place (roundtrip) so that's kind of expensive, but then you are dropped of right outside of the parks and picked up at the same places. + They have a free shuttle that drives to and from the airport every 20 minutes :) + Free internet if you join their IHG club, that's really great, and the internet was really good :D We heard the planes at night, but it didn't bother us, we were to tired from all the things we did in the daytime :) We had a wonderful time in LA, I really recommend this hotel, but for longer stays as we did I recommend you get closer to the place you are planning to use the most of your time. 15 May 2014
