Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely hotel but... Lovely stay, lovely room, lovely staff - however £16 to get wifi is ridiculous when so many hotels now offer free hotspots. Far too expensive for that common feature but wouldn't put me off staying in the future 27 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by As per usual except the restaurant! We have stayed before here but this time the staff in restaurant were not "on the ball"!!! We waited for ages, 45 mins, for a menu, in the end we had to ask! Then we waited to order another drink, they never came! In the end we went into the "pub" great service, fast and friendly barman, we should of eated in there! 26 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprised the Priority Membership Room would be so small! Used the Crowne Plaza as an overnight stay with car parking prior to a trip to Rome. As an IHG member I was surprised the Priority Member room was so small! Hardly any room for a case! And the cupboard space was very small! The bed was comfortable, but the pillows and duvet appeared to be cheap polyester, so were extremely warm! This meant very little sleep was possible! Not great, when you had to be up very early for your flight! On the plus side the Sampans restaurant was excellent and all the staff we came into contact with were excellent. 25 February 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing. Stayed for business purposes. Staff were friendly and attentive at the font desk. However, overall I was very, very disappointed - while the lobby areas are very smart, modern and well kept, the room was awful. Not in any stretch of the imagination worth the £100+ standard rate or in any way in-keeping with the Crowne Plaza brand. In urgent need of refurbishment, carpet was threadbare, bed very uncomfortable, limited and tired furniture and bathroom ridiculously small. The Crowne Plaza in Manchester City Centre was lightyears ahead in style, rooms and general appeal. Stay there instead. 23 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Professional and welcoming Stayed first time prior to early morning flight and for parking. Easy to find and slap in the middle of the airport. Welcomed very pleasantly and then addressed by name as priority member, lovely professional start. I was upgraded to club lounge which was a pleasant surprise. Room was lovely and quiet considering proximity to the airport. Club lounge had lovely calm atmosphere and nice snacks and drinks. Ordered room service and prompt delivery. Express checkout so bill under door when I awoke in the morning which saved lots of time. Dropped off car keys and took waiting free shuttle to the airport. The driver loads and unloads your bags and checks your terminal number by flight company. Little extras that delight me. On return from holiday easy to pick up car keys and the reception gentleman asked if I'd had a nice holiday. Would definitely stay again and would recommend as a stress free start to a holiday. 18 February 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by clean room Reception staff in need of re-training,maybe a smile and welcome would be nice,and at peak times some more would be nice too. waited half an hour to check in.Due to this missed the club lounge which is ONLY 18.00 to 20.00.Luckily the one staff member which was nice offered us a drink even thou it was 20.05.Please note if you are park and driving you will be charge an extra £3 per night to leave your car at the hotel,otherwise it goes 20 mile away driven by somebody else.Full breakfast during the week is also extra £5 each if you have a club room.Note morning flights is like a battle to get the bus shuttle to airport.get up early,you will anyway because you wont get any sleep because of all the noise throughout the hotel.. when you get the shuttle bus lives up to its name ..dangerous to say the least,our cases fell out when he opened the door..So got to the airport tired and fed up.And an extra £40 down..
