Stayed here for the Marlow Regatta weekend with the wife and kids. nice hotel, friendly staff and good amenities. Kids went swimming and played football in the garden. We had a few drinks in the garden on a lovely sunny day. Even a waiter slipping and spilling 2 pints of beer down my back, never seen so many camera phones so quickly, could not spoil the atmosphere. Found a nice area in the bar to watch the England v Italy game which was the only negative in the weekend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mooro Very large bed
Stayed here before dining at the Hand of Flowers
Warm welcome at reception, room nice and bed was enormous.
Leisure centre was okay although didn't eat breakfast as felt £14.50 the night before or £18.50 on the day was ridiculously expensive.
Overall a nice comfortable stay and value for money

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by silverfox58 very nice hotel with comfortable beds.
We have stayed here before and found the hotel very nice, the staff are friendly, the rooms are very well laid out, comfortable beds, I'm a very light sleeper so was placed on a "quiet" zone which was excellent and have blackout curtains.
The only gripe I would have is that the drinks are very expensive, also they will automatically charge you for a double unless you ask for a single, e.g. a G & T with a pint of beer was £16.00! plus you can get charged 12% gratuity, apart from that the hotel is excellent, would stay there again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by roy2 Big Mistake
After a long five hour road journey,I was pleased to finally reach our destination. However moments later I realised that I had made a big mistake .The welcome from a 4* listed hotel was very different to what I expected. At first I thought the noise in reception was coming from a party in a nearby venue . The whining and screeching resounded off the bare walls and marble floors with no furnishings. I tried to ignore the din while I checked in, far from relaxed. There was a delay to the computer system that had to be updated. It would take five minutes. In order to escape the noise I asked where else I could wait. The bar was suggested, but again more music. However the adjoining dinning room , empty at three in the afternoon ,was quiet. However we were immediately approached and told that even though we explained the situation, the staff were about to lay up for dinner. We retreated once more to the car park. Althought the hotel entrance is expansive their are no places to sit. We stood keeping an eye on the desk. Fifteen minutes after our arrival we approached the desk. Having been recognised as a Gold member I was asked if I would prefer to upgrade to a different room, one with an exrta large double bed. I found this surprising since the second person listed as guest was also male. Maybe it was attempt to show that Crown Plaza is gay friendly. I was amused at the offer but pointed out that I had requested two beds not one.
Our room was on the ground floor. The first thing I noticed was the door to a connecting room. I have in the past listened to many phone conversation and noise from loud televisions in rooms where such a door is installed. These rooms are fine for extended families . I had no wish to go back to the atmosphere in reception. Luckily the room next door was seemingly unoccupied , however the situation was unsettling. To be continued.. .....

This is a modern hotel which is just beginning to look tatty. Ripped and worn leather seating in restaurant and badly scratched TV cabinet in our room. I found the bed uncomfortable and did not sleep well. We had a seat by the window of the restaurant hoping for a view of the lake but got a view of a used function room with black plastic sack full of rubbish and used half full glasses etc. My wife's handbag slipped off her chair and picked up dirt and crumbs from the floor. When we looked down we could clearly see that the floor and white painted ledge had a sprinkling of crumbs and had not been cleaned. The starters and deserts were excellent but unfortunately we both chose fish and chips for our main course. This was not beer battered fresh fish as expected in a restaurant which has 2 AA rosettes but what looked and tasted like bulk frozen catering fare - as provided by transport cafes. Asked how our meal was, we accurately described the quality of the fish and chips and were refunded the cost of one serving. Breakfast was the usual keep warm buffet fare but with the welcome option of ordering eggs cooked to order. My wife's two cooked to order poached eggs were over cooked.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by trcy123 Spacious and comfortable hotel
The exterior appearance and hotel location is not great, however, I recommend that potential visitors not be put off for these reasons. Crowne Plaza Marlow is very spacious inside and it's staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast offer is excellent. Guest rooms are also spacious, geared towards business users, however this is not a problem for leisure users. Bathrooms are big with both shower units and large baths. Room temperature is easily managed and very comfortable, the curtains block out all light, it is easy to oversleep! Personally I would like to see the table furniture a little cleaner in the bar/conservatory area, but it is certainly not dirty in these areas. The lawn at the back of the hotel is attractive and leads down to a lake, they have recently added a children's play area which our little grandson loved.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by si-k Good rooms
Great rooms as you'd expect from IHG. nice grounds and an excellent health centre.
Its used as hotel for legoland so expect lots of families especially during holidays. - although hotel/gardens etc are big enough for this not to be an issue even if you want to have business meetings in the bar areas.
Food is more basic and limited compared to other Crowne Plaza

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fiona 27 Excellent room but room service problematic
As a family of four our room was excellent. The children were on camp beds in their own section of the larger room with their own TV. We had our own room within this area with another TV, desk and balcony. The room was clean and well stocked. The pool was good although as only 30 people are allowed in the whole area including hot tub, at busy times, we had to wait for people to leave before we could enter the pool.
Room service however, was terrible. We had to wait over an hour for the food which meant we were rushed getting to a wedding. The food was good but late and they didn't listen as they added mustard to a child's ham sandwich making it inedible for my child. Also, make sure you don't put your room key next to your 'phone or credit card and this invalidates the key meaning you have to go back to reception to get it re-activated. The hotel facilities are good and it's great for kids as there is a games room and outside play area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TheSarge79 Comfortable, modern, spacious hotel in quiet surroundings
I found this hotel to be one of the best that I have stayed in - it was clean and had many high quality amenities, including fridge, safe, ironing board / iron, TV with some satellite channels etc. The bathroom was larger than I am used to, and had a separate bath and shower cubicle. The bed was comfortable with a good selection of pillows and cushions. The hotel staff were friendly and professional. The only slight criticism I would have is that the hotel is located about a twenty minute walk away from Marlow train station, although the route is straightforward and I had no trouble finding it. The hotel is located on a large business estate, which has the advantage of there being little if any traffic noise during the night (I had one of the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel as a result!) I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if stopping in the area in the future.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spannabird Lumpy pillows!
Overall a fabulous stay, loved the pool and spa and the setting. My only issues were the fact that its hidden around the back of an industrial estate (although well sign posted) and that the pillows on the bed were seriously lumpy, they nearly got thrown across the room at 3am!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thewhites Lovely relaxing weekend :-)
Lovely stay over the bank holiday weekend...purpose was to have a well earned break from work and the kids (!)...nice relaxed atmosphere in the hotel, comfy bar with sports, lots of outside seating for having a drink in the sunshine in the garden (although it's so big a 'garden' it can't really be called that!) ...overlooking the lake. Gym facilities were good, nothing you needed that they didn't have there. Pool much larger compared to many hotels we have stayed in too...all in all, a really good value for money hotel. Had a lovely breakfast (all the usual buffet stuff available) and the biggest positive was breakfast being until 11.30....plenty of time for using the gym / pool first and earning that cooked breakfast! Location great - short walk (a very slow leisurely 20 mins) into the town centre where there were an abundance of places to eat and drink. Would definitely book here for a weekend break again!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ac0935px Big Noisy Barn
This hotel was just like a big noisy barn, with huge open spaces and little opportunity for quiet outside of your room. in the public areas the floors are all hard and noise just echos from side to side. There is no provision for a quieter area in the restaurant and if you use the bar, you are more or less forced to watch television.
Compared to some Holiday Inns that are a lot cheaper, this hotel was not noticeably better. Why is it a Crowne Plaza

My daughter who is 17 and I stayed at the hotel for a break from her revision and to recharge before starting the last leg before her exams. It was absolutely brillant. Although the Sauna was not working, the pool, hot tub, steam room and jacuzzi were so lovely.
The room was brillant, the only thing there was no option to open a window.
We ate at the restaurant and the food was brillant. The wine a little pricey but overall brill.
In all excellent relaxing time and would totally recommend it.
