Excellent service and amenities

We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay at this hotel and were very well looked after. The desk staff were helpful and accommodating and the Club rooms luxurious. The location was convenient with 2 Metro stations within 10 minutes walking distance. It is then a short distance to the centre of Moscow (Red Square etc). Breakfast was well stocked and varied and the staff very attentive. Couldn't be faulted. Thank you!

Comfortable bed but poor attitude

This is the 3rd times I was staying in Crowne Plaza World Trade Center Moscow. My recent stay was really create me with inconvenience on the staff attitude and breakfast matter. I book a room for 2 persons and 2 breakfast. When I check-in, I was told I do not have breakfast and if require I will need to top up RUB1400 per person. Since we have 2 persons for breakfast, I stay a night without breakfast because it will not allow me to cancel otherwise there will be penalty charge. Spoke to the manager on duty but not even want to spent time to entertain me at that time. Not even suggest me any solution. Finally, I suggested to her that possible to change my reservation to one night and subsequent night i will make another reservation. Yes, it did and I make my new reservation for 7 nights with breakfast for 2. I confirmed with the front desk and it was with breakfast for 2. The next day when I go for breakfast, I was told I do not entitle for breakfast because my reservation is without breakfast and if I need I need to pay RUB2800 for 2 persons. Spent more than 2 hours in total with the duty manager and finally they told it is their system issue and allow me to breakfast as I book with breakfast for 2 persons. Initially, was not even want to help. Subsequent day, I went again for breakfast and I was told it was only for 1 person and if 2 persons, I will need to top up RUB1400. I was really crazy with all these staff. It took approx 20 minutes to solve by me asking the staff to call your manager. And I was rushing for my meeting at that point of time. And finally they confirm the breakfast is for 2 persons. It was really a nightmare to speak with them as they not really want to help and entertain foreigner like me who only can speak with them on English. As long as I don't speak to their front desk or staff at breakfast it is a relieve for me. Only thing I feel it can be improve is the staff service and the willingness to help. I don't feel improvement even after this is my 3rd stayed. Hope the management really help to look into this and improve the staff service as it is very critical for customer to have a comfort and friendly stay. By the way, I am Platinum member and it not even greet me and I feel I am just normal members like others. However, the room condition is good. Thanks.

Thanks, Anna for your response on this. I appreciate your response and explanation to help me understand the situation. Unfortunately, I need to correct the response you made that share by your staff to you. Below are the situation:- 1. When I arrived at Crowne Plaza Moscow - World Trade Center, I was told that I book without breakfast. 2. On the spot with your staff (Anton) his name, I book in front of him with my laptop with breakfast on my subsequent nights. 3. I was then on the spot confirm with Anton if my booking successful and he informed it was success. 4. I then ask if the breakfast included for 2 persons and the answer is only for 1 person. 5. Immediately with Anton present, I edit my reservation to 2 persons and submit my reservation. 6. I then again confirm with Anton and he told me now it was book with breakfast for 2 persons. 7. I even asked him to double confirm and he confirmed me yes. 8. On subsequent day (morning), I went to the breakfast area and I was ask to sign a paper for my breakfast. 9. Due to communication not possible in English by the breakfast staff, I not able to understand but I feel suspicious why I need to sign for my breakfast. 10. I then approach the front desk to seek help and demand to see the manager to help me. 11. It was first very hesitate by the staff however after I insisted, the staff went into the back and ask for the manager. 12. The manager approach me and telling my booking is without breakfast. 13. I gently explained him the situation and confirmation from Anton the day before that I have book for the breakfast. 14. It took nearly 1.5 hours and I even suggest to the manager that if the breakfast is not included I can make another booking and skip one day breakfast. 15. Later the manager came to me and told that somehow the system have faulty and when I edit the number of persons for the reservation, system somehow remove my breakfast. 15. And he assist me to include back the breakfast and ask me to proceed with the breakfast. 16. And I confirm with him once again the breakfast is for 2 persons and he confirmed me yes. 17. I was relieved by then because thought everything is fine now. 18. Next day I went to breakfast again and the breakfast staff told me the room I book is for 1 person. 19. And I again feel the pain to look for the manager on duty to inform him the situation. 20. It was lucky that it is the same manager who assist me before and he told the staff that it was for 2 persons. 21. At the same time, in fact I was rushing for a meeting and it drag my time for all these matter on Monday morning. 22. For me, it was really a painful experience with the hotel staff initially not friendly and not helpful until they found out my case is not my issue and it's the system fault. Once again, I appreciate the people that assist me however I feel the staff should be even friendly and helpful from the beginning to assist. To be honest, I really feel the reluctant of the front desk to assist till I insist to see the manager and suggest my solution. I sincerely hope you understand my situation at that time. Cosy ambiance

I really enjoyed my stay here. Very cosy and clean room. Smiley and helpful staff at the reception and amazing clock in the large comfy lobby! peacock on the top of the clock starts to sing and flap it's wings every hour - I even took a video. I will definitely stay again ih this hotel.
