Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Club Rooms nice, excellent view My Club Room was ready when I checked-in at 5am and that was nice. The front desk was courteous and efficient. The room was very nice with a great view, 15th floor. I rested a bit and then had a quick bite in the Club Lounge, which after 5 days was the same food, each and every day. Trying to vary the food selection would be a good idea. The biggest issue I had was that my room had windows on 2 sides and the sun hit the room all day and even with the black-out curtains closed, the AC could not keep the room cool. It wasn't until about 9:30PM where the room started to feel comfortable. I used the Concierge in the main hotel lobby and they conveniently reserved a taxi on two occasions and charged the cost to my room bill. That was very convenient. Overall the staff were helpful when requested. The hotel is about a 45 to 55 minute walk to Red Square and about a 10 minute taxi ride (depending on traffic). I was told about the metro but elected not to take it with the change of trains along the way. Unfortunately Moscow was experiencing very hot weather during my stay. Having to continually log-in to WiFi was a nuisance, especially using multiple devices. 09 June 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Balcony overlooking Moscow River Stayed at the Crowne Plaza World Trade Centre Moscow for LESI Annual Conference in May 2014. Everything was on par for a high quality hotel. But the stand-out feature was a nice balcony looking across the Moscow River. I was on 7th or 8th floor, so the view was fantastic across the city. Tips: use the concierge to arrange taxis so you're not at the mercy of the over-charging drivers. You can bargain with the drivers, but it's a headache, especially if you don't speak Russian. 03 June 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room / Transfer bad The room was very comfortable and practical overlooking the Moscwa river. Apart from the mad car drivers at times it was nice and quiet. Internet services were partially useless and connection bad. The transfer from airport to hotel is organized by a 3rd party company. This service was absolutely inadequate. At first the driver arrived at the airport nearly one hour late. The car was at the very end of a nearly empty parking and he did not offer to carry the bags. He forgot to pay the parking rocket and had to run back. Although using gps he kept on choosing detours which made no sense. In the end he was very angry that I did not sign his release papers. Find a better organization for driving as this is part of the exclusive service provided by a 4 star hotel. 01 June 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Good Location & Property; Poor Gym Hours & Attitudes This hotel is about a 3-mile walk to the Kremlin and Red Square, and the walk is very pleasant. There are several nice restaurants nearby, and the property itself is very nice and very clean. The nearest metro stop is .8 miles (fine with me, but some might find that far). Based on location proximity and property, I recommend this hotel. However: the gym doesn't open until 7 am, which is absurd. No business traveller is going to have a schedule conducive to working out that late in the morning. Also, NO ONE in the hotel smiles. From the front desk, to the bartenders, to the lady delivering my laundry, everyone had a stone cold expression, which seems cultural. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor by interacting with me. The one exception was a kind bell hop, whom I tipped handsomely as a result. Also, the breakfast buffet is exorbitantly expensive at $40. Finally, the housekeeping includes making your bed and swapping out towels - that's it. They don't tidy or do the other "little things" that I've experienced at other Crowne Plaza locations. 29 May 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Modern and Watch for Taxi Drivers The hotel has a more contemporary feel if that is what you want. My caution to travelers is that although booking taxis through the hotel is better, the fairs are higher than average--not sure why this is--and perhaps 50 percent higher. Also, taxis take advantage of travelers by quoting a price and then charging more upon arrival. The hotel does little to help and itself charges more. Metro is an option, but the signs are only in Russian (no English, French, or other languages), which makes it more difficult to readily use. This should be addressed by the hotel and by the Moscow travel bureaus--otherwise, it is big deterrent to traveling to this hotel or Moscow in general. 25 May 2014

The hotel is rather Remote in Moscow, but close to the exhibition center which is why I chose it. In general it is difficult to get a smile from anyone in Moscow and no different here. 01 May 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Crowne Plaza - Moscow WTC I stay in a lot of Crowne Plaza hotels and in only a very few have I felt uncomfortable with the onsite facilities. The club lounge which I would normally use is not worth it as there is no alcohol or food worth mentioning in the evenings so you are left with the restaurants and bar in the WTC complex (I should at this point note that neither the bars or restaurants are operated by IHG). The bar is open to the WTC and is quite small being bordered by a restaurant on the outside and an atrium. It is not really a place where you can relax as there is a lot going on outside and the tables and chairs are not that comfortable. The restaurant and café that you can charge to your room are ok but very expensive... Overall I would not recommend this for the single traveller, it might be ok for groups but if single you will be in your room (very comfortable by the way) a lot. I am supposed to be spending 9 days here in May 14 and am not sure whether I will change hotels.... 16 April 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not so much The club level was a complete disappointment...tgus far the only club at any crowns that has been up to expectations is in Dubai...replicate that and you have a winner. Otherwise I cannot give crown much more that a 3 out of 5 stars. Needs to improve everywhere else in the world, especially U.S. Locations. I'm certainly considering my options for the price. 13 April 2014

Very good location, almost 5 minutes walk to the metro station and a nice shopping mall and some good restaurants around as well. The hotel has very good facilities, several outlets. Clean and spacious rooms. Overall experience was very good and comfortable. friendly and helpful staff. I would definetly stay here again. 26 March 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I wouldn't recommend this hotel We are corporate clients and we always stay at Crowne Plaza WTC, furthermore, once a year we hold a big conference in this hotel. Actually, it was a third my stay when I have not good experience. I would say, front office staff is not polite at all (excluding the front office staff at the Club building). If you can't solve some issue you can even be polite and try to help your guests. Their behavior looks like they even don't care if their guests satisfied or not. Friendly speaking, I will try to choose another hotel next time and wouldn't recommend Crowne Plaza to my friends or colleagues. 24 March 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: The following reasons for not recommending your hotel: 1. How is possible to have a trainee on the check-in in the evening before the conference starts with such a long queue of conference attendees!!!??? It took me nearly one hour to check-in! 2. The worst wi-fi in MOW comparing to the same class of the hotels. Must be understood that business people don't mind too much about sleep quality but having a reliable internet connection any time & any where in your property. "Crowne" in the name of your hotel must be a guarantee for that. Otherwise..... 3. How is possible that bank card is accepted for accommodation payment but not for drinks & meals at the hotel restaurants and bar? 08 March 2014

I wanted to ask something and reply was: "nobody here." (I speak Russian) Hotel branded Crown Plaza should offer to its guest the high quality wi-fi internet connection free of charge. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 it's ok Its near the exhibition center, which is good. Internet was a bit slow via Wi-Fi and didn't actually work everywhere in the hotel. If you try to use gym, remember that it's quite small and with lot's of people there can be very hot due to lack of air conditioning. If you use the pool prepare to a bit of mess, floor needed at least good mopping. And sometimes you cannot use it due to lack of lockers. Restaurant on the first floor makes me wonder how service and quality of food can vary on different days. Sometimes better sometimes worse. Sometimes you sit there and wait for somebody to come and clean table for 40 minutes before you can even get the menus, sometimes you get your steak just perfectly medium rare. Front desk is slow and looks like most of the time they don't know what they are doing. 04 February 2014

Even though I felt the cost of everything were expensive (not only in the hotel, outside, too), your hotel has good restaurants enough. I had only one thing need improvement. Hot water could not come in the bathroom, and shower did not have enough power. Otherwise I thought totally good to stay. Thank you very much. 23 December 2013

In terms of service, they are in need of major improvement, from reception (check-in / check-out) to room service. There are better hotels in the vicinity for same / better price. 16 December 2013
