friendly staff, door slamming a problem

Having stayed at the Crown Plaza on business for the past 5 years about once a week, door slamming has always been a problem. The worst offenders are the cleaning ladies and especially the room checkers that go door to door around noon.Problem could easily be fixed with dampeners on the door frame. Also college teams that stay are almost always loud and slam doors constantly.

Upgrades Needed

Although the staff was extremely nice and helpful that doesn't take away the fact that this hotel needs MAJOR upgrades. I am very picky about where I lay my head when I'm out town. This hotel costs way too much money to have upgrade issues. My first room had dirty sheets and hair on it. I complained and they me to another room. Breakfast wasn't free but parking and wifi was. My friend and I stayed on the woman's dedicated side it was extremely quiet but that was the only difference. The overall hotel had that old smell.

Peeling Paint in Bathroom

Have stayed at this property at least 4 times and this visit will be my last. The metal dividers between the tiles in the drop ceiling in the bathroom is peeling terribly. So much that when I was drying my hair I was rained upon with paint chips. Paint chips landed all over the counter, on my toothbrush and in my hairbrush and all over me! Well that's it, I'm done. The room is acceptable, but the bathrooms are old, dated and for that reason don't appear clean. Time for an update to those bathrooms Crowne Plaza. I stayed 2nd night at another hotel a little further out, but worth the extra 10 minute drive.

Nice hotel but could use some improvements

The hotel was comfortable and the staff at the front desk was professional and friendly. Also, food in the restaurant was great. That being said, the hotel could use some improvements such as window cleaning, new shower curtains, better lighting, and removing the towel rod from inside the shower. Also, service at the restaurant was painfully slow.
