I had to give "Staff and Service" three stars because I had to average both staff and service together. I see them as separate entities. The staff at the front desk and in the lobby did a great job. The front desk was responsive, courteous, and friendly. They answered my questions and helped me find my way around the hotel.

My problem was with housekeeping.

The room was never cleaned, the bedsheets were covered in hair and the bed was not remade with clean sheets, the trash was not taken out, there was hair in the sink, and there were dirty dishes in the hallway that stayed there for two days. Also, the hotel needs new paint, carpet, and wallpaper. There are a lot of scuff marks and generally gives the impression that management doesn't care enough about the appearance of the hotel to devote the funds necessary to fix the problem.

An older property in dire need of new furniture, paint, and carpet and a new heating/cooling system along with an exterior wash/paint.

Plates in the breakfast area need to be washed before being put out for use.

Great for Cardinal Fans to stay

A very enjoyable stay. Felt very safe and Mrs Pork the morning manager certainly made us feel like she valued us staying at Crowne Plaza. It was just a short walk from Busch Stadium. We will for sure book again. The room size was perfect, very spacious. We enjoyed a great breakfast and restaurant staff couldn't have been nicer.
