I've stayed in this hotel for almost 9 weeks in the past 3 months and my opinion is getting worse the longer I stay.
The hotel is very well presented and the staff are incredibly friendly and try to be helpful, however the whole place is let down by lots of errors that could be so easily fixed.
1st - Cold food served in the Executive Lounge and the Foyer bar is becoming an annoying theme of the hotel. I have complained too many times and nothing is done to resolve the problem! Pathetic - there is no excuse for this.
2nd - When I ask staff to help with something it is very hit and miss whether anything will be done. I asked for the internet connection in my room to be fixed during my first stay. Whilst I was promised tech support, nothing was done. My colleagues have asked for things that never get done.
3rd - The hotel WiFi is flaky at best - appalling on a bad day.
4th - Whilst outside of the hotels control, the constant road works that have been going on firstly in front, then behind, the hotel are an annoyance at best!
I started off enjoying my stay at this hotel, but I will be reconsidering this if the current situation is not improved soon

Crowne Plaza is definitely a very nice option to go for, in case you are planning to travel to Dammam, Al Khobar, or nearby area. Hotel is nicely located, rooms are very clean, comfortable and silent. Hotel has also some nice facilities: gym, indoor pool, club lounge, etc.
For me particularly, as Platinum member in IHG network, complimentary access to the lounge was really useful, lounge offers a nice variety of canapes, fruits, sweets, fresh juices etc.
Personnel was very nice and always eager to give you best support needed (lounge staff, reception guys).
My compliments for the overall experience, I strongly recommend this hotel for those concerned!

It was a great experience to stay there & the attendant guy name shfaqat Ali was the very well trained & much cooperated to me.
Overall I enjoy my stay, I have to stay again there when ever I have trip to Al Khober.

To make my story short, the hotel is nicely build hotel and nice staff at the reception. However, two incidents happened and I fell it must be reported to other hotel residents:
1- The hotel staff placed me in a room where internet connection was very weak, but after I logged a complain they moved me to another room.
2- The hotel gave some voucher to use; one for a free salad into the Asian restaurant there (Food was AWESOME); and one for a dessert or tea at a Moroccan restaurant. So, I decided to go for a dessert, but when I ordered the dessert, at the beginning the waiter was OK to take my order, but once I presented my voucher. He was keen to accept it, and told me that they are out of dessert. I really felt like com'n ... If I pay for it, you won't be out of it and if i give you the voucher you tell me we don't have it... It was kind of strange to see this kind of attitude in a place such as Crowne Plaza or any IHG hotel... I complained to the font desk, but nothing happen.
