This hotel was conveniently located for a work assignment in the area. The room was spacious with good lighting and excellent desk for working. Elevators were fast, even during busy times.
Website mentioned free shuttles to airport and metro stations, but it only seemed to go to the airport..

My room was on the river side of the hotel. From there, I was able to watch boaters in the evening and airplanes as they dropped below the cloud ceiling on approach to the airport.

Quite by accident we arrived during Police Week and there was a real buzz about the place! We thoroughly enjoyed our four days in Old Town Alexandria, such charm and character! The free shuttle to King Street was great, but we did walk back to the hotel as well, it wasn't that far. The free shuttle to Ronald Reagan Airport to catch the Metro into Washington was fantastic as well.
The hotel staff were great, very helpful with any enquiries I had and I would definitely stay here again!

Griselda and Florivi bent over backwards to be accommodating and helpful. Most professional. They should be examples for staff teaching and training of what and how to do. Because of them, staying at this property over others when I am in NoVA is an easy choice.
Separately, I found the property very quiet and spotless. Even the Railstop was a sociable place without being rowdy or disruptive. For someone who travels as much and at odd intervals and times as I do, this is most important.

I was with a large group and was not happy with check in at all. Went to eat at the restaurant to eat ordered and appetizer which came out with my meal. The chicken wings were dry like they had been over microwaved. Service was slow. Just a really bad experience. My room was clean and nice. The room service trays left in the hallway for 9 hours not so nice. For the price of the room in the DC area it was not bad just wish it were better.

We stayed for a long weekend to do some sightseeing. The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom door seemed to stick and was not easy to close or open. (Humidity?) We used the room service for coffee delivery in the morning and the service was spectacular!
One evening, about midnight, our phone rang and it was the front desk reporting a complaint of loud children in our room. When we notified them we had no children, they verified our room number and they had dialed incorrectly. Three more times during the night, the same call came. Admittedly, I was not pleased with being awoken and made mention of this the next morning at the front desk. Nobody seemed to know what was going on with this incident so I chalked it up to prank calls from one of the school kids staying on the same floor. (School field trip) I'll make sure to do this trip again but not during the school session.

We spent one night at the hotel. Everything was very good. Wonderful views of Potomac R. and capital from the rooms. Would stay there again next visit to Old Town Alexandria which is only 8 blocks away.
