Enjoyable stay

Front desk recognized my status and registered in minutes. Hotel and room were in excellent condition and quite clean. Breakfast was very good, with a wonderful selection of foods. The shuttles to airport and King St. were an outstanding benefit.

Excellent hotel but poor breakfast service

Excellent hotel, apart from service at breakfast. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for that.

Head breakfast waiter gave us a menu and we decided on the "Continental Buffet". He said that wasn't available, so why put it on the menu? So we selected a couple of items from the Continental Buffet menu listing, and were charged for the individual items, which together cost more than the whole buffet would have done.

Also, breakfast service was painfully slow. When the waitress eventually brought my wife's breakfast, she hadn't been made aware that I'd ordered some as well, so I had to re-order and wait even longer. Clearly poor communication between head waiter, kitchen and waitress.

The next day, we had a much better breakfast experience at a nearby café.

Shame that an excellent hotel is let down by something so easy to get right.

We only had a short stay here but all very good, staff helpful, clean medium walk to town, short walk to river walk all in all great location would stay her again no problem.
