The air conditioner was in reality a low-speed fan.....it did NOT cool the air. The hallways always felt about 73 - 75 degrees and only way we could lower the temperature in the room was to leave the window tilted open slightly to let in fresh air. The windows could NOT be opened, just slightly tilted about 5 inches. We called the front desk twice; they were always super-nice but never followed up if we were happy........we were not.
The hotel has wireless internet but it did not work in our 8th floor room; on the first floor it worked great. They provide 2 computers in an area on the first floor but would not allow me to dump my photos off my camera onto my thumb drive. Seems like they could have helped a customer who is paying them a considerable amount on my American Express card; it would have taken less than 5 minutes to accomplish what I wanted and they could have supervised or done the transfer for me.
We stayed at the south Amsterdam hotel, and it was close to the tram and to the train; both were an 8-10 minute walk and both took us into downtown in an other 10-15 minutes.
Overall the hotel was acceptable, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful except for the air conditioner and the photos. The location was also acceptable due to nearby transportation. Taxi from and to the airport was about 35 - 40 euros.

Although there was construction next door and it is not within walking distance to major sightseeing milestones, because my visit was due to business reasons, this Hotel exceeded my expectations in everything else. Room comfort, quality of service, cleanliness, WiFi, amenities, atmosphere, food and value were among the highest I have experienced. I travel around the US and around the world constantly and this one is near the top in satisfaction for this business traveler.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by John832 Forgot my dinner order, restaurant bill incorrect, hairs in the bath
It took along time to receive my dinner as the order was forgotten then the bill contained food I had not received. There were numerous hairs in the bath when I went to have a shower. This made me feel uncomfortable about the whole bathroom which looked dated anyway, this includes the water in the toilet looking dirty because of discolouration below the waterline.

Very impressed, good service, quality of rooms excellent. Were happy to open up the gym for me early in the morning. The gym is stocked with a good range of quality equipment and they even provide a sports drink and snack.

Excellent sense of arrival & recognition from check-in staff. I was greeted by name and was thanked for being a Priority Club member. All the facilities and services were explained and I was offered help with my luggage. The hotel is brand new and still has the "new-car" smell to it, everything clean and shiny. The bar offers a wide range of snacks to full-course meals, very attentive staff. The only draw back is the not-so-interesting location, surrounded by offices (Banks & Law firms) with a few restaurants & cafés. This is a business hotel and geared for the business traveler. Public transport is very good and only a few mins walking to the tram/metro station to the city centre.
I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone who needs to do business in this area of Amsterdam.
