Best designated as a Conference Center

This facility is still undergoing renovation which made for tight parking, They are perfect for conferences, meetings, and small to medium trade shows/dogshows/etc. They lack the little extras that set most IHG properties in a class of their own. I've come to expect a nice assortment of toiletries and found I had to go out to purchase a toothbrush on this trip. Shampoo and conditioner were the only offerings. The bed was comfortable, but the refrigerator froze my food. I never was able to get hot water, only luke warm. There were no hangars in the closet. The TV remote would only intermittently work for volume. The room was large (which makes it great for conferences or guests who are staying a week), and I had a sliding door and could walk right out onto a hiking /biking path. There are several buildings on the property and several levels of parking. You can be a far distance from the restaurant or Expo Center. With construction, don't count on driving to those other areas and being able to park. If you find a good parking spot, don't leave the property, just keep the spot. The staff was friendly, but service average. Not what I've come to expect from IHG facilities. The buffet breakfast was very good but I could not get tea service. The tea I made in the room had an off taste - probably the older coffee pot. I'd go back for an event, but not as a spot for vacation.

Poor Guest Service

Staff saw no need to help with water pouring from our ceiling at 5am. No one came to check on the situation after being reported to the front desk. Staff didn't even try to offer a solution to the problem. Not the usual guest service I have received at other Crown Plazas.

Front desk, bar, maid service

They do not seem to be in tune with each other with what is going on about shuttles to the airport, etc. and not very friendly. However, the shuttle driver that picked me up at the airport on 4/12 was WONDERFUL.

I was ignored at the bar one night. An employee upon leaving his shift finally asked me for my order. He even came back to see if my food order was taken - which it wasn't. He put it in for me. Your staff needs to be trained better. Females deserve the same attention as males.

Maid service: the day I checked out I had a late check-out time of noon. The maid came at 11:30AM, I opened that door she looked in and walked away. I called her back - she didn't speak english at all. What was she looking for?
