this is normally a good hotel. however, this time it was awful. first room had constant rolling noise above room 327. then heard a gurgling noise in bathroom and smelled a foul odor. toilet was backfilled with brown sewer water. asked to change rooms, move to a higher floor. Staff was friendly but acted like they were doing me a favor. next morning, constant construction drilling in ceiling. felt like my teeth were being drilled. truly a bad stay.

Havolyn is great! She cares and dotes on all the Priority Club members who join her in the evenings. I look forward to winding down after a day of meetings with a glass of wine and a chat. Her personal way of greeting and interacting with each member is heart felt. You do not leave the room without a hang shake or more likely a hug with her saying "When will you be back? I look forward to seeing you then". She's a jewel!

The lobby is lovely at the Crowne and G the bartender is the best! The only issue is the bar stools. They were not replaced in the remodel, I'm guessing. You have to sift through several before you feel safe sitting in one. I personally don't care to sit on a bar stool that rocks or sways. If you are a person of weight this might be a problem. Why they would spend all the money on the remodel to make the Lobby and Bar area look fantastic and not complete the project by replacing the bar old stools befuddles me.

The upgrades and renovations have transformed an ok facility to a modern and beautiful facility. It has a new freshness, more open spaces. From the lobby and dining area, new marble floors to the many upgrades in the guest rooms. The colors and new materials are peaceful, crisp, fresh and clean. Staff was always going above and beyond in service and smiles. Had a great stay.

CONS: The pillows were the size of small cushions.

The extra $12 per day parking is a non-starter. All the other hotels in the area have parking included. Also, the water pressure on the 11th floor was horrible. You need to do away with those idiotic low-flow fixtures on the sink. I had to shave using the bath tub fixture -- the sink would not even wash off the razor.

I do not feel that this Hotel came up to the the good name it is known for in the past. The room was not equipped with refirg and microwave because of some excuse. Desk personal was not as friendly but prompt.
Customers had to pay for parking that was out in the open, and gated key was difficult to work. Key to operate gate had to be made several times.

The front desk only had one person working so check-in was slow. Our room had been smoked in so we asked for another room. The next room was fine but no offer to move our luggage or even an apology. Almost an annoyance. We often stay at Crown Plaza in Pensacola where service is awesome. The two bright spots were the bartender the night of our stay and the bellman the day we left. Both were great. Just thought you should know.

When ever I have had enough of air travel or air delays, I call this Crowne Plaza right away. I don't bother with airline hotel vouchers, I know that I can walk out of the airport and find that Crowne Plaza bus, or call the front desk and they will send it immediately.
I can relax at the bar, meet people and eat very good food, it's not necessary to go out to a restuarant.
If you stay on 11th floor, the breakfast is great, and the ladies love to chat with their guests, I think that it is pretty hard for a business traveller to pass up this Hotel, Rooms are exceptional value for money, I find that I often spend more in HI Express than most Crowne Plaza.
I like it so much that almost my whole family will be there on March 28th, two daughters, two husbands , four grandsons and my Wife and Myself....yes we have separate rooms. !!

I truly continue to book at the Crowne Plaza because of the EXCEPTIONAL service provided by your Priority Club attendant, Ms Havolyn!! She gives true meaning to the words "Customer Service with a smile"!!! I have never entered the door without a heartfelt greeting from her, and she somehow always remembers what my favorite beverage is! Havolyn takes pride in providing service to all of her guests and helping her guests network with others, ensuring a pleasant visit for those travel weary folks, like myself, that would otherwise dine alone in the restaurant.
Kudos for having such a great employee in your hotel!! I am sure your competitors would like to know what keeps many of us loyal to the ATL Crowne Plaza, and the secret would be, MS. HAVOLYN!!

Hotel was a little older than other properties nearby. The tub and surround we're dingy and old, shower head supply line was loose and floppy. Coworkers room was similiar. His smoke alarm went off, he reported, no staff arrived to address. He removed from wall, apparently an aging battery. he placed the detector on a desk, and in a 4 night stay, maintenance never addressed.
I used the same day dry cleaning, and my item took three days to receive, and I was still billed for the cleaning!

Our flight was cancelled due to weather and we needed a quick room for the night from the Atlanta Airport. Using the courtesy phone in the luggage area, I was able to quickly make a reservation and schedule a pick-up within 5 minutes. We were greeted with the best smile and friendliest attitude when we walked through the door and it was simply all good from there. The room was clean, fresh, and comfortable.
As frequent travelers and retired airline employee's, we see it all in the travel industry. Believe me when I say the person who greets you at the beginning makes all the difference in how your stay turns out. The room is secondary initially----we have no complaints and all kudo's to this airport hotel! Thanks to you all for making a stressful situation, pleasant!

havolyn is the best employee you have. she always makes us feel like family. your front desk staff was very professional and kind. your breakfast buffet was not worth the money we spent. I would have given a higher rating, but this really upset me.

During my last stay at this facility I was disappointed for the first time as this was my fourth time staying at this location.
I sat down for lunch on Saturday in the restuarant and sat there long enough to eat an entire salad and still no one even ask if I wanted something to drink, I left and never ate there again.
When I checked in I was not advised by the desk clerk if their were any special accommendations for a loyal Priority Club (Gold) member. Later I found out their was.

I was able to get a room on this Hotel, even most Hotels in the Airport area were fully booked.
Nice Hotel, a bit old but very well maintained.

We attended the SAC Convention for Rural Letter Carriers last weekend. When we went out to eat Saturday Night, someone had broken into my new Cadillac Escalade sometimes Friday Night, early Sat. morning and according to Police were within minutes of getting it out of the Parking Lot. They had popped the lock, disengaged the steering mechanism, almost had the start/crank relay hot wired ready to make their get-a-way when something went array. Now I am out about $3,000 after the insurance paid. The hotel would not even comp me for any of my three day stay, just extended the last day a few hours until my son drove from SC to pick us up, as the car was not drivable. The first thing my Insurance asked was if the Parking area had Security cameras (which they do not). It was a bad weekend and I and my wife really felt like our privacy had been deeply invaded.

My last visit in May 2012 was a bit of a shock as the hotel looked tired and felt like it needed some money invested in it. I'm pleased to say that the hotel group have taken note of comments from guests and are gradually trying to improve it. Some changes were evident in my stay in week 3 this year.
The staff were polite and very helpful. Havolyn in the executive lounge was bubbly and energetic, made me feel very welcome.
The range of food on offer seemed to have improved but speed of service in the restaurant could have been a bit slicker.
Overall it's a good place to stay and was ideally located for my needs.

The Crowne Plaza Atlanta Airport is a great hotel. Good location, friendly staff, good food, great service, and caring atmosphere sum it up. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The beds are comfortable. The staff on the Executive Floor for the breakfast and the afternoon happy hour are the best.

I have stayed at the Crowne Plaze ATL airport many times. I Have never had any problems with the room and the staff is always friendly and willing to assist in any manner. They are currently doing some renovation and I never heard any noise or were the workers ever in my way. The renovated rooms are excellent and I look forward to my next visit. As a platinum member, the breakfast vouchers are greatly appreciated!

We arrived on New Year's eve from 20 hours of fly time. As the hotel was "chaotic" with revelers we were tired and tense.
The front desk clerk was a quiet and welcoming presence! Efficient and accommodating we were wisked to our room and passed a very quiet evening on the private key floor!
Arriving too late for the included breakfast the next morning we were superbly served in the beautiful dining room to a perfect full breakfast. The waitress was top-notch!
While the hotel is being renovated --- the staff needs no such attention!
Thank you for an unexpectedly delightful stay!

After flight was delayed for days the staff got us a room earily in the morning and even provided free breakfast for us. We needed help getting around the area and the staff was great at helping us, they explained to use the train vs a taxi. The staff also provided us with information about the area for entertainment since we had a few days to wait. The staff helped make a bad situation much much better.
