Poor service

I stayed here with my husband for 2 nights.
When we originally came in, our room wasn't ready. They took his phone number and said they'd call as soon as it was available, as we had already had a long day of flying and just wanted to get settled.
We called back to the front desk ourselves 3 hours later, wondering what the holdup was. The woman who answered the phone said she had no idea, and the room had been ready.

When he left to fly home, I was reassigned a different room as I was staying here longer. I had left my very expensive shampoo and conditioner ($80) in the room my husband and I shared, and had called multiple times trying to track it down. One woman told me she would bring it up to the room. When it never arrived, I called back. The next gentleman transferred me straight to housekeeping. The man at housekeeping told me that I would have to call back in the morning as the woman who cleaned our room wasn't working.
I called back first thing in the morning, and the first woman informed me she would check on it and call me back.

I finally went down to the desk to ask, housekeeping informed them that they threw it away. That the only items of importance that are kept are electronics, everything else is thrown away. There was no apology or empathy even implied; I am beyond disappointed in this service.

My recent stay at the Crown Plaza was not at all what I expected. The bathroom had not been mopped. I was bitten by something on my face and back. I am still dealing with the itching from the bites. When I informed the desk all they said was I'm sorry. They did not offer to spray the room. Housekeeping removed the dirty towels and did not replace wash clothe and hand towels. I had gone to bed when my towels were delivered. My phone did not work accept for outside calls. We ordered pizza and when it was delivered the desk could not call our room . So the food was left at the desk. Tried calling desk on hall phone but no answer so we went to the lobby. Our food had been there 15 minutes. Needless to say cold food is not very appealing. The staff did not offer to make adjustments or move to another room.

I would recommend this hotel to any business. The staff are very friendly. Every service we recieved was provided in a timely manner. Thank you!

P.S.
The only amenity I looked for was the fittness center and pool side hot tub. This is the only thing that needs improvement. Otherwise excellent.
