Amazing

I had an amazing time at Crown Plaza Ravinia Perimeter. The hotel is elegant and very clean. The service is superb. The manager, Troy Sandifer, went out of his way to make sure that my stay was amazing. The shuttle service helped make our trips to the mall pleasurable. I recommend this hotel to all and I can't wait to return.

Not very pleased with Overall Service

I have stayed in many hotels but this hotel has given me the most number of problems and not so very good service levels.

However, most of the time it was made up by the almost immediate service recovery except for the final bill which till today is still not settled.

1. The day I arrived, the room booked was not available even when I have booked the hotel many weeks ahead. I was tired from my traveling and arriving late at night does not make it any better. However, the duty manager was able to resolve this situation within 1 hour.

2. The room was not cleaned on my final day stay till after 5pm which I find very strange and I was staying at the executive suite. Although the housekeeping lady apologized but I had an uncleaned room for almost the whole day.

3. I was offered a taxi from hotel to UPS office in Glenlake and the taxi charged me $25 claiming that because I was paying with American Express I am charged extra. I was very surprised and raised this issue with the concierge who in the end managed to retrieve $10 from the driver. But still the ride from your hotel to my office does not even metered to $10.

4. I am a Muslim. All your hot meat were pork. I asked the waitress working and was told that there's nothing she can do. I was very disappointed. For a very big chain of hotels, I would expect her to at least check with the kitchen. On my way out, I bumped into one of your sales managers who told me she would assist but the next day when I came to the restaurant, nobody knew anything about it. It was nice that the waiter told me he will check with the kitchen and got me some chicken sausages. Can't remember his name but he was very helpful.

5. At check-out, I noticed a major discrepancy in the bill as my laundry services which amounted to $40.50 but was billed $162. That's ridiculously expensive for laundry of 5 items. I raised this with the reception staff and she told me she could not do anything as the housekeeping staff has not started working as I checked out very early. How could this be? Shouldn't all bills be attached to your internal set of bills? The girl told me that she will not charge this to my card and will sort this out and email me the correct bill. It's already a week passed but yet no revised bill has been sent to me.

This is very disappointing as I need to receive the bill before I could claim all these charges. Please look into this urgently.

Excellent Hotel

This was my second stay at this hotel and both have been excellent. The staff is extremely friendly. The hotel, rooms, and bathrooms are very clean. The hotel rooms are quiet and the Club Level is very nice. The hotel has a nice lobby area, the grounds are well kept, and parking is not an issue with its garage.
