I travel alot to this area for business and have stayed in many different IHG Hotels. Although they are all very nice, this Crowne Plaza location is top dog! The staff is very friendly, the rooms are in great shape (and quiet at night), they have a great workout facility, pool, hot tub and dry sauna. Plus the attache pub has a fun atmosphere and great food. This is definitely my new home when I travel to this area!

Just wanted to drop a note that the primary reason I stay at this property is the friendliness of the staff. From the reception, to the restaraunt...i always feel welcome.

Work trip and I don't get to select my hotel.
I was in this hotel in January:
Room 1 - walked in to find someone was already using the room
Room 2 - not king bed (as requested)
Room 3 - king bed.
I was in this hotel last week (4/8-4/12):
Room 1 - leaky ceiling over the bed
Room 2 - handy cap room with 2 full size beds
When I returned to the room after work, I couldn't get in. Went to the front desk and they said they've decided to move me to a room with a king bed. I asked why would they do that without telling me. They had my cell number but never called to ask. Furthermore, they didn't move all my stuff. Left 2 drawer full my clothing in Room 2 where I couldn't get in.

Once Again, my stay at the Crowne Plaza Auburn Hills was terrific. Chuck, Katherine and all the staff make you feel like you have come home from a long raod trip, They remember your name, make sure you get the room you liked or asked for previously and cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable.
Tuesday night Manager Welcome party cannot be missed, Chuck serves up a great drink complete with munchies. Try a Martini, he has mine down to a "T".
The bar is a good place to hang out if your alone for a meal, Roxanne and Carol will look after you and the food is good as well.
Try this place out and if your not happy see the staff and I will guarentee they will fix the issue and make you happy.

A very nice hotel to stay when in the area. The in hotel bar/restaraunt was reasonable priced, very good food and a great selection of on tap beers.

Overall, a pretty good experience. The hot tub chlorine burned our eyes. And there were no mini fridges.
But everything was clean and the staff was great.
The Tuesday cocktails and hors d'oeuvres by the pool was a classy touch.

I had a good stay as usual at the Crown in Auburn Hills, the staff is always helpful and efficient, but on this stay Vonda was especially helpful with room changes and reservation changes.

The room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary soap was of lemon scent and was *wonderful*. We visited the pool only once during our stay, and the water was actually warm. We would definitely stay at this facility again.
