I was impressed last year which also made me stay in Crown Plaza this year. The location close to Lumpini Park makes it a pleasure as you have a lovely hotel plus a most lovely park to walk and get some fresh air.
This in combination with the support when you are a Platinum Elite member via the Guest Lounge were you have excellent support as well as good morning breakfast as well as evening small dinner suggestions.
I am most pleased and will come back again during end of 2014.

This was my second stay and will be back again for sure. Great location close to transport, shopping, the park etc but above the hustle and bustle so you feel that you are in a different, much calmer world. Fantastic staff, Well done!

This is my one of my most favourite hotels and I travel around the world regularly. The staff are very well trained. The bed is just as comfortable as my own bed at home. I love this hotel. I must commend the management and staff for their professionalism.

Staff at the hotel are all friendly and efficient. Service in all respects cannot be faulted. Problem with air conditioning was corrected immediately it was pointed out.
The hotel has a nice ambience, is quiet and staff go about their tasks in professional manner.

Great location and within walking distance to BTS Station (Sala Daeng), courteous and friendly staff, big room, clean and comfortable, Club Lounge facility is great and great choice of food and beverages. Nice gym and swimming pool. Highly recommend for your stay in BKK !

I have been in Bangkok several times, thus have stayed in several different brand hotels, Crown Plaza Lumpini Park is surely one of those best.
Firstly and most important, the service is perfect, the staff is polite, despite a little bit inconvenient that you have to go to 23rd floor to check in, you can feel easy, fast, kind and qualified service anywhere: in the reception, in the concierge, in the lounge..
Besides, the place is well convenient, just close to exit of BTS;
the building decoration is nice, both inside and outside;
the retaurant is fantastic, for business or pleasure...
The fruit was prepared, it should be great if some essence or aroma provided as sample...
Staff in lounge were very nice, I do like that mutiple choices of drink...
In Bangkok, I will recommend this hotel as one of the first choices.

I always appreciate your staff's hospitality (the bell boys, the front desk staffs, restaurants/and bars and house keepings and others.# They are always very kind and giving us warm welcome and good services.
I have few things to say to improve your quality of the services as it is already in an acceptable level.
I, as being a management of one of the foreign companies in the region who hires foreign staffs, think one of the challenges and difficulties is the management of the locally hired foreign staffs.
The national staffs (in your case it is Thail staff) are OK as they have the pure motivation to work for their family and for themselves where they are born and living. And some of the staffs maybe seriously thinking about their career as "hotel man /or woman" in the future in Thailand. So most of them are serious and work hard. They are/or trying to be professionals. As a result their quality of the services is pretty good and appreciated by most of the hotel guests. (I think....)
On the other hand, for those foreign staffs (such as Japanese) who may not seriously think to be a "hotel man /or woman" or to serve the company for a long time in the future in Thailand... but just need a job for money to live while they are in Thailand... as It is sometimes easy for them to get a job at one of the Japanese based companies in the region just because they are Japanese (can speak Japanese... )
Unfortunately, the motivation of the foreign staffs sometimes badly affects their quality of services and hurts the reputations of the company. Some of them are not trying to be professional because of their original motivation. And it sometimes blows up all the efforts and good reputations and even the brand of the hotel that the national staffs have been building and keeping for years.. It is sad.
I myself try to take care of the management and the education for my staffs in the company. Some say it is important to educate "the national staffs". Yes, it is very important issue in a long run. But I think it is also very important to educate and to set the certain motivation to those "foreign staffs" (especially locally hired Japanese staff ) as a immediate action. Because they become your company’s representatives for your important Japanese clients from the day one. If they are not good it is meaningless to hire them.
It is not easy to do so and it is still a big challenge for myself, too. But if we can do it right that can be a great value/and the assets of the company and can be a big differentiator.

Very nice and comfortable hotel, but the hotel rooms looks "old fashioned" in terms of design, in comparison to other hotels in Bangkok.
Overall it has been a very nice stay. Staff is efficient and friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable.
I would recommend this hotel, but not to people who are into design and architecture.

A nice & average Crowne Plaza, try to get rooms not towards the big road and above floor 29, were the floors are more quiet.
Overall I had a nice stay.

Perfect location very close to night market in silom and also to bts and mrt. The hotel staff is very friendly and always very helpfull. The room is excellent maintained. The welcome drinks you can choose from a good variety of cocktails, mocktails and sodas. I like.

A change in my business schedule brought me to Bangkok one day earlier. I booked Crowne Plaza for one night, after having previous pleasant experience there.
Check-in was almost 'instant' : the staff already had my room keys, & check-in documents ready. I was upgraded to a newly renovated junior suite.( I booked an executive club room). In addition to this is the warm reception. The Executive Lounge Manager personally make an effort to see that i have a comfortable stay.
My check -out was prompt .

Crowne Club staff very freindly with and gave great service. Remembered my last stay which was 6 months earlier.

I loved staying at this hotel.
The service from the staff was top notch, they were friendly, informative and could not do enough for you and always went out of their way to try and help and go the extra mile and always with a smile.
The hotel itself has excellent style, and I really liked how it had been laid out and the quality of the furniture and fixtures and fitting. The hotel was always spotlessly clean, including the rooms, and I cannot fault a single thing.
The room was really nice, fairly large (by european standards) with all of the furniture it excellent condition, with a bath and seperate shower and 2 sinks (plus a japanese style toilet!) and good lighting throughout the room. A good view from the room and excellent black out curtains to keep the light out.
One minor complaint was that the room was too cold, but it was OK if I turned off the air conditioning unit, so it was not really a problem.
And I was trully amazed when on my Birthday a waiter brough up and presented me with a birthday cake! I was truly delighted with this, but assume that it was because of my status with the IHG hotel group, but still never before has this happened.
The location was perfect, lots of bars and restaurants in the areas (as well as 'other' entertainment options if you are so inclinded# and a night market as well. The metro and skytrain stations are about 100m away on the corner giving good access throughout all of Bangkok and down to the river #for boats to the old town#.
All in all, it added up to probably the best ever stay I have had in a hotel, and I would not hesitate to go back again.

I understand you have Japanese staff but I have never met them during my stay. I personally think that someone of Japanese staff should be taking care of Club Floor as I understand so many Japanese guests use Club Floor.
Regarding breakfast, I thought it should be better that guests can take breakfast earlier, like 0600hrs in the morning. I understand you have early international flight for all over the world.

Having stayed at many Crowne Plaza Hotels in the past, I already had high expectations when I booked my stay with Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park.
From the moment my partner and I arrived, we were greeted politely by the doorman. The bell/concierge team helped with our bags and escorted us to the reception on the 23rd floor. To my surprise, all I had to do was present my passport for ID purposes and my IHG rewards card. The reception team immediately recognised my Platinum elite status and took care of the rest. The entire process was actually exciting, especially after getting off a long international flight. I was offered the usual IHG platinum elite items, but to my surprise, I was also given complimentary access to the club lounge, breakfast and chocolates. Unlike one other hotels (which I won't mention), this offer was made to both my partner and myself. Even the complimentary arrival drink was offered to both of us.
This is an older style hotel, with a few modern touches done through recent renovations. With our previous visit to this hotel, we had an issue with our room on the 28th floor smelling like cigarettes. This was a non-smoking floor, but it seems that it had previously been a smoking floor at some stage of the hotel's life. We're avid non-smokers and this was a major issue pointed out during our previous stay, particularly this stay because we were travelling with our 20 month old baby boy. It was great to see the team had acknowledged our feedback and this time we were placed on true non-smoking floor.
This hotel does not have all the latest gadgets such as RFID locks, electronic blinds, or even fancy "mood lighting". So what makes this hotel stand out from the rest?
It's the little things that matter.
- Service was by far the best I have seen.
- Staff was extremely polite and everyone remembered my name
- Regardless of where I was in the hotel, I was always greeted. From the housekeeper in the hallway, to the restaurant and lower lobby.
- The bedding is one of the most comfortable I have experienced.
- The rain shower and the water pressure was perfect.
- The hotel uses a really nice wooden baby cot, compared to many other Crowne Plazas these days who use the plastic port-a-cot.
- On the second night, we were surprised to find that in our room and the team had left for us a little elephant plush toy. The turn-down service had gone to the trouble of making up the cot and tucking in my baby boy's favorite toy (pooh bear) into the baby cot. Next to our bed, there was a small towel on the floor that simply said "Sweet Dreams".
- In both the restaurant and club lounge, the team was extremely friendly. They took the time to make sure we enjoyed our breakfast in the morning and canapes in the evening. The team paid extra attention to our baby boy who was always curious about everything. He enjoyed all the attention given to him throughout his stay.
- We asked the concierge team to recommend a good tailor as I needed a new suit for a business meeting. We were impressed by the quality of service provided by their recommendation. It is good to know that the team listens to feedback from previous guests and is not simply recommending things that are convenient to them (as they do in many other hotels).
- The lifts are on a setting where it is seems to magically follow us and anticipates where we want them to be. I never had to wait more than 30 seconds for a lift - something that is usually taken for granted these days. Quite often I read reviews where people complain about slow lifts in hotels, but this one is amazingly fast.
Although I am not allowed to mention any specific names in this review, all of the team at CROWNE PLAZA BANGKOK LUMPINI PARK deserve a big thank you from us. Thank you for making our stay so memorable, and I hope to visit again soon.

Although I stayed only one night at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They recognised the platinum club member and had tried their best to upgrade my room although there was a limited available.
The breakfast was a bit let down with only western and japanese foods without any local Thai selection at all. Hopefully this could be improved.
Would definitely come back next time

2 lift is required to reach the room but lift is very fast as it only cater for a few floors. Great customer service from the moment I checked in to check out. Bed was comfortable and good amount of english movies. The Best part for me was the breakfast. The moment you sit down, they already ask you what juice you want and how you want your eggs to be. This reduces the queue at the egg counter as compare to other hotel. Small swimming pool and gym but you are unlikely to use them as there are much things to do outside the hotel.

I have stayed at this property before and had an issue receiving a smoking room (complete with ashtray) where i have asked for a non-smoking room. The property compensated right away on that stay, however on this stay I was upgraded to the club floor.
From the moment of arriving by cab, I felt always welcome and absolutely well taken care of.
Two slight issues:
- Club lounge offerings are not really up to par if comparing to other properties in Bangkok but I really didn't mind having gotten the complimentary upgrade
- Both Minibar and Housekeeping staff entered the room without ringing the bell and disregarding my do-not-disturb request.
Having left the property in a hurry as I had an appointment, I had forgotten my passport which I was informed of near instantly, allowing me to collect it prior to realizing the fact too late at the airport that night.
